Islamic Center of New York

Islamic Center of New York Officially registered as: Islamic Center of New York (under Mohammadia Madrasha - A Non Profit Organization, Inc.)

The Islamic Center of New York is a branch of the Mohammadia Madrasha (A Non-Profit Organization) Inc., based in Michigan, a traditional Sunni institution with origins in Southeast Asia, which is not connected to any political or religious group. This institution was founded by a Sunni Muslim brother in Michigan in the year 2002. ICNY and Muhammadia alike are dedicated to promoting Islamic values

and fostering unity within the Muslim community. With branches in Michigan and Florida, our goal is to convert this church into a vibrant and inclusive mosque, where the community can thrive to its full potential. By providing a welcoming space for prayer, education, and community engagement, we aim to create an environment that reflects Islamic heritage and encourages spiritual growth. Your support is crucial in making this vision a reality. Together, we can foster a stronger Muslim community, inspire future generations, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood. Alhamdulillah, we have made significant progress with the project. However, we urge everyone to support as much as they can, or give Qard al-Hasan (interest-free loan) to reach our goal. To learn more about our project and make a contribution, please visit our homepage and become a supporter. Every donation, regardless of size, will make a difference in our journey to establish a vibrant and lively Islamic Center.

πŸŒ™ The First Ten Days of Dhul-Hijjah πŸŒ™
The best days of the year are here β€” days filled with mercy, forgiveness, and endless rewards from Allah

Make the most of these blessed days by:
πŸ•Œ Praying Salah on time
πŸŒ„ Fasting, especially on the Day of Arafah
πŸ“Ώ Increasing Dhikr, Takbeer & Istighfar
πŸ“– Reciting and reflecting on the Qur’an
🀲 Making sincere Du’a
🀍 Giving Sadaqah and helping others

The Prophet ο·Ί said:
β€œThere are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
β€” Sahih al-Bukhari

And regarding the Day of Arafah:
β€œFasting on the Day of β€˜Arafah, I hope from Allah, expiates for the sins of the year before and the year after.”

May Allah accept our prayers, fasting, charity, and all good deeds during these blessed days. Ameen 🀲

πŸŒ™ Important Sunnah of Dhul-Hijjah

If you plan to offer Qurbani, do not cut your hair or trim your nails after the moon of Dhul-Hijjah is sighted until your sacrifice is completed.

May Allah accept our Qurbani and good deeds. Ameen. 🀲
