United Church of Chebanse, United Church of Christ Join us for Worship Service, every Sunday morning at 10:00 am. Reverend Marsha Collins is the pastor. All are welcome!

Youth Choir rehearsals, followed by Children's Sunday School run from September through May, beginning at 9:00 am. We are a community of Christians who gather for worship, for ministry to our members and our neighbors, and for mission in the world at large.

Welcome to June! We are just 3 weeks out from this year's Vacation Bible School at the United Church of Chebanse. This year's theme is Road Trip ... on the Go with God, and the week will be filled with bible stories, music, recreation and arts/crafts focused on exploring how God is our constant guide along all of life's journeys. The week begins on June 22nd with four evenings of fun and learning (with dinner provided) from 5:30-7:30 pm, followed by a BBQ pot luck at the Chebanse Pit on Friday, the 26th, and culminating in a special worship service by our participants on Sunday morning, the 28th.

We look forward to this week every year as our opportunity to build foundations of faith and fellowship with the youth in our communities. All ages are welcome, but children must be potty-trained (unless a parent stays with them during the sessions). ✨️Upcoming, June activities✨️

June 3: We will have a second VBS meeting to hammer out some final details for the festivities to come 🎉

June 7: This is a BIG day for us! Starting at 9 am, we will kick off our FIRST Adult Sunday School class, led by our Christian Edication Coordinator, Megan Breckenridge 🎉 All are welcome to join! Following that, we will have Worship Service at 10 am, where anyone wanting to take part in communion may do so! Then when service is over, we will have a quick Social Committee meeting to get some ideas started for summer fun! 😁

June 14: We will have our second Adult Sunday School lesson at 9 am! See you all there 😎

June 17: Our church council will meet at 6:30 pm.

June 21: We will kick off the morning with a special Father's Day Breakfast for all of the hard-working, leading men in our congregation at 8:45 am! Megan Breckenridge will be filling in to preach as Pastor Marsha enjoys her yearly vacation to Maine! ☀️ (No Sunday School)

June 22-25: Vacation Bible School will be Monday to Thursday, from 5:30-7:30 pm! We've decided to extend the fun by 30 minutes a night this year 🎉 You can register online or in person for VBS. Dinner will be served each night 😎

June 26: VBS Family Fun Day at The Pit! Once the fun of regular VBS is done, we will take an afternoon to relax by the water, swim, fish, and cook out on the grill! Parents must be present for this event - we will meet there at noon! 🎣

June 28: We invite everyone to join us for this special Worship Service, where the kids from VBS will all get the chance to show off what they learned over the week! They will sing and dance to some very special worship songs, and introduce you to their buddy, Scout! We can't wait for you all to see what they learn!! Mark your calendars now!

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is right around the corner 🎉

You can register online with the QR below ⬇️ or come into the church for a paper registration!

Monday to Thursday, June 22-25 will be held at the church from 5:30-7:30pm, dinner will be provided each night! Then it's Family Fun Day June 26th (Friday) at the Chebanse Recreation Center (The Pit) from noon to 4pm for swimming, fishing, and BBQing! Then, everyone is invited to show off what they learned during church service on June 28th at 10am 🎣☀️ We can't wait to see everyone there!!

A sneak peak into last night's adventure! 🎉

We hosted our first ever End of Sunday School Year Sock Hop! Fun was had by all. God was definitely present and pulled us through to the finish line for this event - all glory to Him!

There was dancing, games, funny photos, raffles, baked goods, - but most of all fellowship and togetherness! Everyone came together to make this happen, and it was so worth it! What an amazing display of faith! 🥰
