We hope that you will be as excited as we are about our new exterior curb appeal .
We have all new blue/white awnings and flags We added a Canadian flag to celebrate our "neighbors" (and to welcome our new Canadian host, Faye Perkins).
Our front garden also has a new look, courtesy of a long time friend and donor to the cottage. The garden was designed by Scott Robbins with Westfield Nursery. The design focuses on native plants that were chosen based on lighting conditions, bloom times, and ease of maintenance. We look forward to watching our new garden grow!!!

The Bishop's Garden ( at the bottom of Peck ) and the Campbell Garden ( near the Edison Miller House) are two hidden gems.

Today was beautiful at Chautauqua. The grounds were all a-buzz with activity and preparations for the summer program season. It looks like they have replaced the end of the pier by Three Taps, a favorite place to hang out and enjoy the lake. The Chautauqua Belle was there for a wedding party. FYI, they stop at Three Taps everyday about noon during the season. Tickets are $30-$40 for an hour and a half ride. Something to add to your list of fun activities to do here.

We love a spring wedding at Chautuaqua. We were able a to witness the moment a father first saw his daughter in her wedding gown before they walked down the Brick Walk towards the Hall of Philosophy. So touching.
