Our first-week guests at Catholic House arrive on Saturday. Working to prepare for our guests and chaplains (Fr. Jim Kane and Fr. Paul Milanowski). Mass times are M-F at 8:45am in the Chapel of the Good Shephard, Saturday evenings at 5:00 pm, and Sunday at 12:15 pm in the Hall of Philosophy.

On Sunday, September 25th, the Diocese of Buffalo celebrated its 175th anniversary with a Mass for Southern Tier parishes at the Chautauqua Amphitheatre using our CCC altar, sacred vessels, and lectionary.

Deacon Ray Defendorf, Deacon Jerry Hodson and Fr. Todd Remick worked with the Chautauqua Institution staff to set up the Mass. Both participated in the liturgy. Deacon Jerry had officiated at his daughter's wedding the day before in the Hall of Philosophy.

Cathy Nowosielski prepared a reception spread like only she can prepare. Jeff Lutz and Patt Defendorf welcomed guests to the grounds and to Catholic House.

Bishop Michael Fisher and several priests and deacons vested at Catholic House and enjoyed Cathy's festive assortment of meats, cheeses, and fruits.

Board member Trish Beagle and several other CCC members attended the Mass.

Msgr. Ken Miller speaks on “Synodality and the Papacy if Pope Francis.” Synodality is the process of the Church LISTENING to the voice of the people. The Pope sees clericalism as a cancer within the Church. The American Bishops are among the worst at practicing synodality.
