Join us Wednesday morning at 10:30am as we Read psalm 119:33-40

•Take note of the actions the psalmist is asking God to do in him.
•take note of what the psalmist does or will do as a result of God’s work.
•Describe the psalmist’s understanding of his relationship with God based on your notes.
•Look up what the word “vanity” means in verse 37.
•look up what the word revive means in verses 37 & 40
⁃ How is turning away from vanity and being revived connected?

Pray about it:
Ask the Lord to show you what vain things are in your life that need to be removed and ask him to revive you in HIS ways.

Ask the Lord to reveal areas where you have become independent and ask him to change your heart to become dependent on the Lord.

This week’s assignment for our Wednesday morning devotion!

This week, read Psalm 51.
Mark God and the Psalmist (I, Me, My, etc.)
Make a list for each with everything you learn from the text.

We've spent the last several sessions being reminded of who God is and how we should view and respond to the circumstances we are facing. This week, we are going to take time to look at ourselves. As you read this Psalm think about these verses:

"Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way."
— Psalm 139:23-24

Have you taken time to allow God to search you? Have you taken this "time out" provided by the quarantine to ask God to show you any sin you need to deal with as David did his sin?

Finally, read Hebrews 4:12-13, compare it to what you've already learned and write out your thoughts.
