National Day of Prayer and Rededication.

For those of you who were unable to attend Church or participate in any prayer rally for the rededication of our Nation to God i have enclosed here our prayer service.

Day of Prayer
On this day, we join millions of believers who have gathered in their churches and on the National Mall for the rededication of this Nation back to God.
What we do here today as individuals impacts our community and our Nation. George Washington, our first president, understood that reality.
His very first act as President after his inauguration on April 30th 1789, at the Federal Hall in New York City was to march those members of congress down the street to Saint Paul's Church to dedicate this new Nation to God. The Rt. Reverend Samuael Provost presided.
One can recount the words of Benjamin Franklin, who spoke these words to the Constitutional Convention of 1787.
``I have lived, sir, a long time, and the longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?''
So we are here today to do our part. To repent, pray, and rededicate our lives.
REPENT
We need to examine our hearts to see if we have allowed our political persuasions to affect our prayer life by demanding what we want instead of what God wants.
You may be shocked to discover that God's agenda is not Republican or Democrat, it is Kingdom. And Kingdom people are called to sow seeds of love, mercy, righteousness, and peace rather than division.
We look around and see division, uncertainty, and challenges in our nation. But Kingdom people understand that challenges are opportunities for miracles. Revival has often been born in difficult seasons.
PRAY
We are to pray daily for our Nation and our leaders. If you do not know how or what to pray, invest in your own personal copy of The Book of Common Prayer, where you find a whole section of prayer for your country and its leadership, beginning on page 820.
REDIDICATE
This is not a recommitment to a man, an organization, but to The Lord Jesus Christ, His Kingdom, and the message of the Cross. In doing so, you will be a better Christian, which will also make you a better citizen and help strengthen this Nation for it’s God Given purpose.
Let us pray:
Forgive us, Lord, for our own stubborn ways and seeking our own way instead of yours and your Kingdom. Forgive us for sowing seeds of division and hate instead of love and peace.
Help us to see your Kingdom purposes and your designs for our Nation
Four Our Nation
Almighty God, who has given us this good land for our heritage: We humbly beseech you that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of your favor and glad to do your will. Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought here out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in your Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to your law, we may show forth your praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in you to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Rededication
Today, we return to you as a people to follow in your ways. We surrender our will to yours, no matter the cost, for we hunger for your Kingdom to prevail in our land. Helo us in our weakness and guide us by your Holy Spirit.
In the Name of the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. AMEN!

Saturday in the 3rd week of Advent. We continue to explore JOY!

Advent Joy Looks Forward But Lives Now

Christian joy is not escapism.
It does not deny pain, struggle, or waiting.

Instead, it declares:

God is faithful
God is present
God is coming again

This joy sustains us until the promise is fully revealed

It is Friday of the 3rd Week of Advent. We continue to explore the Word JOY!

Joy Is the Fruit of the Holy Spirit at Work

Joy is not something we manufacture it is something we receive.

It is the strength of the weary

The song of the hopeful

The quiet assurance that God is still in control

Nehemiah reminds us:

“The joy of the Lord is your strength.”

It's Thursday in the 3rd week of Advent and we are discovering JOY!

Joy Grows When We Give, Not When We Grasp

John tells them to share cloaks, food, integrity.

Joy multiplies when:

We loosen our grip
We bless others
We live generously

Self-centered living drains joy.
God-centered living releases joy.

Now find someone to be a blessing to!

Wednesday in the 3rd week of Advent. We are discovering the Power of Joy!

Rejoice!!!

John the Baptist: Joy Expressed Through a Changed Life (Luke 3)

John’s message may sound severe, yet it produces joy because it points people toward freedom and purpose.

When the crowds ask, “What should we do?”
John answers:

Share what you have
Live justly
Walk humbly

True joy is not emotional hype , it is right alignment with God.

Joy increases when our lives are rightly ordered before the Lord.

Today is Tuesday in the Third Week of Advent and we are celebrating JOY!

Rejoice Because He Is Comingand Because He Is Here

The Church pauses in Advent to say, Rejoice!
Not because the waiting is over, but because the promise is sure.

Isaiah declares:
“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.”

Joy arises when fear loses its voice.

Joy is confidence in God’s faithfulness

Joy is hope that has learned to sing

Joy is faith that smiles in the dark

During this third week of Advent we will explore JOY.

Really it is to rejoice!

Today, Monday, let's begin to look into Joy!

Joy Is Not Circumstantial It Is Relational.

Advent joy is not rooted in perfect conditions but in a present Savior.

Paul writes, “Rejoice in the Lord always.”
Notice: in the Lord, not in outcomes, politics, health, or ease.

Happiness depends on happenings. Joy flows from abiding

Joy comes from knowing God is near.

“The Lord is near” (Phil. 4:5) that is the foundation of Christian joy.

Today, Saturday, in the second week of Advent, let’s explore more about this gift of PEACE!

Peace Prepares Us for His Return

Advent always looks two ways — to His first coming and to His second.

As Isaiah says,
“Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.”

Every time we make room for Jesus’ peace now,
we are preparing our hearts for the day
when His peace will cover the whole earth like water covers the sea.

Today, Friday, in the second week of Advent, let’s explore more about this gift of PEACE!

Peace Must Be Received — and Released

Jesus told His disciples:

“My peace I give to you… not as the world gives.” (John 14:27)

Peace is a gift.
A supernatural deposit.
A heavenly inheritance.

But peace is also something we speak, carry, and release:

“Blessed are the peacemakers…”
They don’t just enjoy peace — they bring it wherever they go.

This Advent, challenge your church to be:

Peacemakers in their homes Peacemakers in difficult relationships Peacemakers in a divided culture Peacemakers in the church

The Prince of Peace deserves people who carry His presence.

Thursday, in the second week of Advent, let’s explore more about this gift of PEACE!

Peace Is a Ruling Reality — “Peace on Earth” Is Really “Peace Under His Reign”

When the angelic chorus proclaimed “peace on earth,” the Greek implies:
“Peace toward those who yield to His favor, His rule, His reign.”

In other words:
Where the King rules, His peace becomes the culture.

Peace is a kingdom atmosphere.

This season we remind the church:
We don’t wait for the world to create peace.
We invite the King to establish it in us, and then through us.

Wednesday, in the second week of Advent, let’s explore more about this gift of PEACE!

Peace Breaks Into Our Fear

The first words heaven speaks into our world at Christmas are:
“Fear not.”

Every central figure in the Nativity story hears this:

To Zechariah “Fear not.” To Mary “Fear not.” To Joseph “Fear not.” To the shepherds “Fear not.”

Fear is the great thief of our peace.
Advent calls us back to trust.
To place our trembling hearts under the steady hand of God.
