DO PEOPLE WHO HAVE DIED AND GONE TO HEAVEN KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON DOWN HERE ON EARTH?
Heaven will be glorious. We will meet the saints of old. There we will walk the street of gold and be reunited with those we love. When we enter Heaven, we will have crossed the finish line to meet the One who will reveal stories yet untold.
Consider the scene in Hebrews 12:1 describing the heroes of the faith who are now in Heaven: “Sine we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses . . . let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” While we aren’t given any detail, the previous chapter in Hebrews gives us examples of that “great cloud of witnesses” – the saints of old who ran the race of faith and finished well. We draw strength from their victorious finish on earth, bearing testimony to their faith in God and God’s faithfulness to them.
-Absolutely nothing can be hidden from Him. The Bible does not tell us if the souls in God’s presence know what is happening on earth. What it does tell us is that God knows what is happening in our lives. Our desire as believers should not be to please men (Galatians 1:10), but to run the race to please God: “My eyes are fixed on you, (O Lord)” (Psalm 141:8). And Jesus Christ watches our every move and knows our every thought. How thankful we should be, for He is our strength: “The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him” (2 Chronicles 16:9).
Do we welcome the eyes of the Lord? Do we live each day knowing that the Lord of Heaven looks down on us? He is not waiting for us to stumble, but He is there when we do. He is seeking our loyalty to Him: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3: 23-24).

VICTORY OVER WORRY - OVERCOMING WORRY --- The past is under the blood of Christ, and the future is in the hands of God, and He is your I AM, with you right now as you seek first His kingdom and live for Him day by day. This is the day the Lord has made and we can rejoice and be glad in it. "therefore I say to you, do not worry ... So why do you worry . . . ? Do not worry . . . Do not worry."

VICTORY OVER WORRY - Overcoming Worry ---- In the midst of the storm, we need to look up and notice that the cockpit is occupied. Almighty God is at the controls. We can rest secure in Him as He takes us home. Though our world is suffering turbulence and though severe turbulence occurs in our lives, we know the Pilot. Isaiah 26: 3 is a prayer for us to echo: "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You."

VICTORY OVER WORRY - OVERCOMING WORRY --- Don't worry about yesterday's sins; God has forgiven them. Don't worry about yesterday's successes; God has recorded them. Don't worry about yesterday's sorrows; God can heal then and point us forward. We're to live life on a daily basis.

VICTORY OVER WORRY - OVERCOMING WORRY ---- You can be sure your heavenly Father has made provision for your tomorrow, for He has filled your life with tokens of His goodness and faithfulness today. Lamentations 3:23 reminds us that God's compassions are new every morning. Every bird in the sky and every flower of the field is a testimony from heaven to us, saying, "Trust Me. I will care for you day by day. Seek Me first, and all these things will be added to you."

VICTORY OVER WORRY - Overcoming Worry --- The trouble with worrying so much about your security in the future is that it makes you feel so insecure in the present. Jesus told us not to dwell on our tomorrows. He was echoing the truth of Deuteronomy 33: 25, which says, "As your days, so shall your strength be." Each day has its own needs and its own supplies. Every day has a burden that belongs to that particular day. Don't borrow tomorrow's burden before tomorrow, and don't try to do tomorrow's work today. Worry doesn't empty tomorrow of its sorrow, but it does empty today of its strength.

VICTORY OVER WORRY - Overcoming Worry ---- "One day's trouble is enough for one day or each day has troubles enough of its own. So why anticipate them? If we do, we double them. For if our fear does not materialize, we have worried once for nothing, if it does materialize, we have worried twice instead of once. In both cases, it is foolish: worry doubles trouble.

VICTORY OVER WORRY - Overcoming Worry ---- Having committed our lives to Him, we must concentrate our energies on living one day at a time. "Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

VICTORY OVER WORRY -- Overcoming Worry --- In Matthew 6 -- Jesus said, you must totally commit life to Him. In one of the greatest verses in the Bible -- verse 33: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Instead of worrying about food, drink, and dress, Jesus commands us to seek first the kingdom of God and His rightenousness.
He urges us to offer ourself as a living sacrifice to God. Put Christ first. Trust Him with your life, with all your needs, with the concerns of yesterday, today and tomorrow. With all your heart, live for Him who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That's the first change we need to make if we hope to overcome worry.
Missionary Hudson Taylor said, "Let us give up our work, our thoughts, our plans, ourselves, our lives, our loved ones, our influence, our all, right into His hand, and then, when we have given all over to Him, there will be nothing left for us to be troubled about, or to make trouble about.

VICTORY OVER WORRY - Understanding worry --- Pagans choose gods for themselves that don't see, think, feel, care, or watch over those who worship them. Their gods can't really help them. Their gods can't provide for their needs. When you, as a child of God, yield to anxiety, you act like a pagan. That's a form of unbelief, for you have a Father in heaven who loves you and knows your needs before you even ask Him for your daily
That's the way Jesus viewed worry in Matthew 6, and that's how He wants us to understand it.

VICTORY OVER WORRY - Understanding worry --- Matthew 6, we cone to our Lord's next point in verse 27. Worry, He indicates, is ineffective. "Which of you by worrying can add one day or minute to your life span? Worrying cannot help us live longer, but it may very well shorten our lives. We can certainly subtract days from our lifespan by worrying. One man observed, "There are undoubtedly graves all over America where lie the sleeping bodies of truly believing people who cheated God out of ten, and perhaps fifteen or more, years of life because they worried themselves into their graves ahead of time. Which of you by being anxious can add? Nobody! Which of you by being anxious can subtract? Everybody!
