Marialice Hatch Pottery Sharing my love to create functional ceramic pieces with those who find joy in it! Working with clay reminds me of the life-long work of being human.

You are wedged, centered and formed. Sometimes you are even set on a shelf to be dried out and recycled. But the process of formation always begins again. My art is an ongoing discovery of how beautiful it is to be made for a purpose and to be surrendered to that process.

Just a quick update as I have a lot of my inventory at Amani ya Juu (Peace from Above) which is why my website mahpottery.com has very limited product. Interested in giving pottery for Christmas gifts this year? Now is the time to shop or request something special. If you are local please come visit 420 S Willow St in Highland Park, Chattanooga as they carry so many wonderful products made by women in Kenya, Uganda and India. I plan to be at the following markets this fall:10/24-25 Art Between the Bridges at Coolidge Park 12/6 Lookout Mountain Christmas Market at Fairyland Elementary Gym
