THE PASTOR'S CORNER: PSALM 55:22 " Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved".======Beloved, we find this restated in 1st Peter 5:7, and we are admonished to let the Lord Jesus carry our burdens for us. When we are faced with worry and problems that seems to burden us down, lets remember that our Lord Jesus is able to carry us with our burdens. Also never forget that Jesus is able to carry our burdens for us. Beloved, our trust must always be in the Lord Jesus. Have a wonderful week-end in Jesus.-------Rev. Dr. George Hardin George Margie Johnson

THE PASTOR'S CORNER: Psalm 55:22 "Cast your burden on the LORD, and he shall sustain you; he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved".=======Beloved, this verse admonishes us to unload upon the LORD our burdens that are too heavy to carry. As He is able to carry us with our burdens, He is able to carry our burdens for us. In 1st Peter 5:7 we read the same thing in our Bible. WOW!! What a promise to us in Holy Scripture. To anyone who has experienced grief or trouble, this command to cast one's burden on the LORD is refreshing. I can truly say "What a mighty God we serve". God bless you brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ. Have a wonderful day in the Lord Jesus. Our trust must ever be in the LORD JESUS. CF # Proverbs 3:5,6.---------Rev Dr. George Hardin George Margie Johnson

THE PASTOR'S CORNER: Philippians 4:13 " I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."=======Beloved, this is one verse that has strengthened every hurting and discouraging Christian. Our strength comes not from any other source but Jesus Christ. Discouragements are bound to come; poverty may abound, but still the Christian can be strong. The believer finds, to his surprise, that the power he needs to witness and walk in righteousness can be found only in Christ Jesus. Beloved, remember " If God be for us, who can be against us" Rom. 8:31. Christ's strength is the source of our strength.----------Rev. Dr. George Hardin George Margie Johnson

THE PASTOR'S CORNER: Psalm 95: 1-3 " O COME, let us sing unto the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods."=========Beloved, this Psalm 95, though it was written at another time with others in mind, it speaks to the hearts of modern day Christians. The Psalmist exhorts those who come to worship to "sing and make a joyful noise". This should be done with both tongue and heart. Remember that true worship begins in the heart long before it ever finds expression with the lips. In this Psalm we see the goodness of God to the greatness of God. Idolaters tolerate many gods, Christians have only One. God is great for He is the only true God. He alone deserves our worship because he is supreme over all. He is both Creator and Provider of all things. Glory be to God!!.----------Rev. Dr. George Hardin George Margie Johnson

THE PASTOR'S CORNER: Ephesians 6:10-12 " Finlly, my bethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the p0wer of his might. Put on the whole rmor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers , against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against the spiritual wickedness in high places."======= Beloved, the strenght of the Body of Christ is the Lord Jesus Chrsit Himself. We rest not upon the arm of flesh, but upon the power of His(Jesus Christ's) might. By His strength we will put on His armor. The enemy without, of course, is Satan and his host. We are told that the world lies in the hands of the wicked one, and Satan is called the god of this age. We are powerless against him in our strength, in the arm of flesh. Christian that is why our power is in the Lord Jesus Christ. With the Whole Armor Of God we are winners not victims. Beloved, the enemy without is a reality, and not a supposition. Satan is not a figment of the mind, but a true enemy of God and His childfren(christians). The Sword of the Spirit is the only offensive weapon the Church has, which is the Word of God. Only the Word of God can destroy the enemy. Praise the Lord Jesus! That is why we sing in church "Victory in Jesus"!!!! ----------Rev. Dr. George Hardin George Margie Johnson

THE PASTOR'S CORNER: HEBREWS 4:14-16 "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession(confession). For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and grace to help in time of need." ======Beloved, come boldly means "with confidence, assurance", with out any reservation. Christians, we approach a throne of grace, not of judgment, but of obtaining mercy for the past and grace for the future . Draw near to God with confidence when in need. Believing that He(Jesus) understands your needs. In times of weakness, temptation, and sin, we believers find access to God through our Lord Jesus. ---------Rev. Dr. George Hardin George Margie Johnson

THE PASTOR'S CORNER: Psalm 100: 1-5 "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness; come before his presence with singing. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.=======Beloved, this Psalm is all on fire with gratitude and thanksgiving. It is a call to all Christians to unite in grateful worship of the Lord. Take a close look at the countenance of so many who profess to serve God. There is too much gloom. A pardoned and forgiven people should not be depressed and act as if they were destitute. Our Holy God should be worshipped by a happy people. May the Holy Spirit of God help us all to return His love for us in faithful and thankful service. God bless you all with a happy and wonderful week-end in the Lord Jesus Christ.-----------Rev. Dr. George Hardin George Margie Johnson

THE PASTOR'S CORNER: Psalm 95:1-3,6 " O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our maker."======Beloved, notice that three times the Psalmist says "Let us". Those who truly worship the Lord will be in one accord. Here in verse 6, we find the exhortation to worship is renewed. Posture in prayer is not everything; and yet, it is something. Prayer and worship is heard when the knees cannot bend, but an adoring heart does not hesitate to bow the head and bend the knees. Beloved, since the Lord Jesus made all, he alone should be worshipped by all, and with all that is in us. May the Lord Jesus bless you all with a wonderful week-end.----------Rev. Dr. George Hardin Johnson

THE PASTOR'S CORNER: Psalm 18: 1-3 " I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God ,my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from mine enemies.=========Beloved, this Psalm reminds us that like King David, we should give God credit for every victory in our lives. And acknowledges that the Lord alone has made us who we are ( cf # 1Cor. 15:10). This Psalm pictures the Lord as both defender and deliverer. If God delivered the Israelites of old, surrounded by nature's walls, pursued by hating foes, then he will open a way where there is none, and deliver the trusting soul. May we always give God the glory for every good thing in our lives. --------Rev. Dr. George Hardin Johnson
