Monday Manna #28 10.19.26
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1

Faith

Faith is the evidence
of things not seen
Wholehearted trust
in our God Elohim

Faith is the assurance
of things hoped for
Fully believing
what God has in store

Without faith
We cannot please God
The essential ingredient
that heaven applauds

He is a Rewarder
of those who seek Him
At the end of our rope
Real faith begins

Increase my faith
Lord I receive
Hear my confession
Lord I believe!

Monday Manna #27 10.11.26

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Rest

Enter in
to God’s rest
Where your soul
can decompress

The place of grace
where we exhale
For Jesus’ death
has torn the veil

So we can enter
The Holy of Holies
Where we find Jesus
Meek and lowly

His yoke is easy
His burden light
Our souls find rest
In His might

The heavy lifting
is done by Him
At our end
is where He begins

Monday Manna #26 10.4.26

“Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
Luke 9:23

Comfort or Cross?

The god of comfort
America’s idol
The desire for ease
Discipleship’s rival

We want things easy
We don’t want to struggle
Avoiding all pain
We live in a bubble

We work to play
Live for vacations
Spending our energies
Improving our stations

In following Jesus
We take up our cross
Giving up comfort
is part of the cost

So we must choose
Our comfort or the cross
I choose Calvary
All else is loss!

Monday Manna #25 9.27.26

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:5

Wisdom

Lord I need wisdom
Not the human kind
I need Kingdom wisdom
that comes from Your mind

The wisdom of the world
is foolishness to God
The things man treasures
God does not applaud

The world and its desires
are rapidly perishing
The eternal Kingdom
is what we should be cherishing

To see with eyes of faith
beyond what we see
With our natural eyes
we see partially

To wholly fear the Lord
where wisdom begins
Surrender is the place
Where we truly win

“After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.” ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭19‬:‭12‬ ‭

Whispers

Jesus is whispering
All throughout the day
I lean in to listen
I hear the Master say

My sheep know my voice
For they are my own
Through my gentle whispers
My tender love is known

This is the way
Walk ye in it
Following my leading
Minute by minute

Clearing out the noise
Removing distractions
Helps me engage
In two way interaction

I listen for His whispers
The Bridegroom’s lovely voice
Tuning in to Jesus
I make my daily choice

Monday Manna #23 9.14.26: A Promise, a Poem and a Prayer

“Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” Psalms 145:13

Praying the Promises

I’m praying the promises
I’m standing on the Word
I know God will answer
My faith is being stirred

Confessing with my mouth
I declare His promise
I believe His Words
I’m not a doubting Thomas

The Word of God has power
It’s living and it’s active
With the sword of the Spirit
I take all thoughts captive

God’s promises are true
He’s good to keep His Word
His Word is holding me
I am undeterred

I’m praying the Promises
I’ll see the victory
My faith will soon be sight
God’s faithfulness the key

What our Sunday mornings before service look like here at the Garden 🌅

Join us Sundays at 11am!

Pastor David is back from sabbatical and he continues Monday Manna.

“Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
Daniel 3:25 NKJV

The Fourth Man

Fourth man with us
in the raging fire
Standing in our midst
as the flames go higher

In the furnace of trials
We are not alone
Jesus gives us peace
Our heart is His home

He will never leave
He will not forsake
Leads us through the night
Till we reach daybreak

The furnace is the place
Where we can grow in trust
The fire burns away
All our soul’s rust

Jesus is the Fourth Man
Who’s in total control
From the fiery furnace
We come forth as gold
