All month in May birth-Kinder has been Hats Off to helpers!

Community helpers show up and care for the people in their community, and when children learn about community helpers, they learn who they can ask for help. And when people help us, we can say, “Hats off! Thanks for caring so much.” We want children to know there is someone else who cares for us every day, but He doesn’t wear a hat to show us who He is. We can read story after story in the Bible where Jesus shows us that He cares for every single person—no matter who they are, what they’ve done, or where they’re from!

We want every child to know “How wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ” (Ephesians 3:18 NIV). Let’s pray for our preschoolers, that they will grow to love and admire Jesus more and more as we discover that Jesus cares about everyone. And join us this month as we say, “Hats off to Jesus!”

Kids Camp registration is open at rockypeak.org!

We're so excited to be hosting Rainforest Falls: Kids Camp 2026 🦜🦥🪲🐆🐍🏵️🦟🐸

Camp is Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17, from 8:30am - 12pm!

Kids Camp is a week-long program that serves as a chance for Elementary aged children to encounter God with less distractions. It is an opportunity for kids to grow closer to the Lord, experience His presence, learn more of His truth, and have fellowship with their peers. Kids will engage in small groups called crews that will travel to different venues throughout the day all focused on one daily truth.

This year’s theme is Rainforest Falls — Exploring the Nature of God!

This year, we’re heading deep into a vibrant rainforest filled with wild waterfalls, towering trees, colorful creatures, and the sounds of chattering birds and howling monkeys. But this isn’t just about the adventure, it’s about rooting kids in something that lasts forever.

At Rainforest Falls, kids will discover what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, their Creator and their safe place in life’s storms. Through immersive storytelling, hands-on rotations, and powerful Bible teaching, they won’t just hear about the nature of God… they’ll experience it.

April has been a beautiful month to remember just how much Jesus loves us deeply; that He gave his life to save us, and we can live with Him forever.

As you reflect on God's love for you and your family, we pray you take a few moments to enjoy the simplicities of life; like sunshine, birds chirping, laughter, some fun festivities with family and rest.

Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

March in 1st-5th Grade is halfway done!

Jesus’ life is often described as an “Upside-Down Kingdom.” Though He is King of the universe, He came humbly - serving, healing, and caring for others instead of seeking power or recognition. By the world’s standards, that’s completely upside down.

This month our Elementary kids will discover that true success in God’s Kingdom isn’t about being first, but about putting others first. Through stories like John the Baptist pointing to Jesus, a Roman commander submitting to God’s authority, Jesus teaching us to love our enemies, Mary choosing time with Jesus, and Jesus humbly washing His disciples’ feet, kids will see that humility and service are at the heart of following Him. We’re excited to help them learn how to live this out in their everyday lives - thank you for partnering with us as we point kids to Jesus!

It is already the last weekend in our Book Fair theme for January in Nursery - Kindergarten!!!

Books are a gift because of what they can teach us, but there is one book that surpasses them all - the Bible! Jesus said, "Your word is truth" (John 17:17 NIrV). That's what the Bible is. It's truth! The Bible is filled with God's words, and all the best things God wants to teach us.

Bottom Line: The Bible teaches me the best things!

Join us this month as we pray for our preschoolers to fall in love with the Bible and that they will see God's Word as truth. That they will see the Bible as the place they can go to learn the best things in life, things like God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. And that by the end of this month, they will know they can talk about God, hear from God, pray to God, and live for God, because those truly are the best things!

That's a wrap on December in Nursery-Kindergarten!

Christmas is full of wonder and little ones can get so excited that it's easy to miss the real reason we celebrate. This month, we're using simple shapes that your kids already know to help them remember the most important truth: God gave us Jesus.

❤️ Hearts remind us that God loves us so much.
🔲 Squares look like gifts-Jesus is the best gift ever.
🔵 Circles remind us of sheep and the angels who shared the good news.
⭐ Stars point us to the wise men who came to worship Jesus.

We're praying that these fun reminders help your preschooler and your family see the true story of Christmas everywhere you look: God gave us Jesus.

We could NEVER do the weekends without our amazing RPK Team! This Thanksgiving we again say Thank You to RPK volunteers. Have fun listening to our joy-filled song with a heart-twanging message.

Do you know someone who serves in RPK? Send them a note or a text of gratitude this holiday season to encourage them in their call to disciple the next generation!

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

"Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other."
