Sometimes it’s easier to blame “the church” than it is to forgive the person who actually hurt us. But Scripture calls us the body of Christ, and you don’t cut off a part of the body because it’s wounded. We forgive because we’ve been forgiven.
This isn’t making light of the hurt. It’s making much of the healing Jesus calls us into.
