Effie Pauline Ballew Bishop went to be with her Lord on August 10, 2026. Family surrounded her when God sent his angels to carry her home. She was born on October 16, 1931 in Murray County. Effie married Reverend James Bishop on February 21, 1947 and had seven children. She

What a whirlwind of a weekend at Shining Light Baptist, we had an amazing Vacation Bible School on Saturday with a great turnout and an even greater time! Then on Sunday we had a barn burner service with the Kilgore Triplets singing and Brother Rob Works preaching the house down! Alters were used, pews were full and Heaven came down! Come see what God has waiting for you at Shining Light!
