On Vaikunta Ekadasi, the "north door" (also called "Uttara Dwara" or "Vaikunta Dwaram") is considered particularly significant because Hindu mythology states that Lord Vishnu opens this gate to his heavenly abode, Vaikunta, allowing devotees who pass through it to attain liberation (moksha); thus, many temples symbolically open this specific entrance only on this day for devotees to enter and receive blessings.

* Symbolic Access to Heaven:�The north door represents a gateway to the divine realm, signifying the possibility of reaching spiritual liberation on this auspicious day. �
* Special Darshan:�Devotees strive to gain "darshan" (a glimpse) of the deity through the north entrance on Vaikunta Ekadasi, believing it holds immense spiritual merit.
