Everybody worships something:
Success. Money. Politics. Comfort. Achievement. Approval.

In Acts 17, Paul walks through Athens and sees a city full of idols — and honestly, not much has changed.

This Sunday at Meadow Spring Church, we’re talking about how Jesus is BETTER than every lesser god we build our lives around.

Not better because He helps us escape the world…
but because He’s the only One who can truly satisfy the deepest longings of the human heart.

Join us Sunday at 10 AM for:

What does it mean to worship when life hurts?

This week in Acts 16, we look at Paul and Silas worshipping God from a prison cell after being beaten, humiliated, and chained up. They didn’t wait until life got easier to worship—they worshipped in the middle of the pain. And that’s when the chains fell.

In this message, Pastor Erik talks about how worship is so much more than music or singing songs on Sunday morning. Worship is surrender. It’s turning our hearts toward God even when life feels heavy.

Whether you’re carrying chains of anxiety, fear, shame, disappointment, addiction, or exhaustion, this sermon is an invitation to discover the freedom that can happen when we fully surrender ourselves to God.

Because worship is not a performance for God. It’s surrender that breaks chains.

What if worship is more than just singing songs before the sermon?

What if worship is spiritual warfare?
What if worship is surrender?
What if worship is where freedom begins?

This Sunday at Meadow Spring, we’re continuing our series through Acts with a message called “Chain Breaking Worship” from Acts 16.

Paul and Silas were beaten, chained, and thrown into prison… yet at midnight they chose to worship. And when worship rose, chains fell.

Maybe the chains aren’t physical for us today…
Maybe they look like anxiety, fear, shame, bitterness, exhaustion, addiction, or spiritual numbness.

Join us this Sunday as we discover how worship reorders the soul, strengthens faith, and opens the door to freedom.

Come expectant. Come ready.
Because worship is not performance — it’s surrender that breaks chains.
