During 1863-1870 while exiled in Adrianople and then Akka, Baha'u'llah proclaimed the unifying spiritual principles of His Revelation to the kings, queens, and rulers of the age through majestic messages addressed to Queen Victoria, Pope Pius IX, Napoleon III, Czar Alexander II, and Nasiri'd-Din Shah. He summoned them to reign with justice, to reduce armaments, resolve conflicts among the nations, and to end excessive expenditures that impoverish their peoples. He called the rulers to a higher, more principled level of governing thereby laying the foundation for a peaceful world. These messages, unprecedented in religious history, are published in "The Summons of the Lord of Hosts". Baha'is worldwide continue sharing Baha'u'llah's Teachings, which seem more relevant than ever given the turmoil troubling our planet. We will never stop working for peace.
