Some stories quietly unfold over years—and this one is especially meaningful to us. 💛

When Eddie, one of our January volunteers, first served with Health Talents years ago, he worked behind the scenes in sterilization. After being invited into the OR to observe and eventually scrub in as a second assistant, something was stirred. That experience planted a seed, and years later, Eddie returned on this trip—not in the same role, but as a trained surgical tech, using new skills born from a calling he first discovered here.

Alongside him this year was his daughter. As a teenager, she once served as a caregiver on a Health Talents trip. That early experience shaped her heart for the world and inspired her to pursue international business. Now 21, after spending months living in Antigua, studying Spanish, and immersing herself in the culture, she returned to serve as a translator—bridging language and compassion with confidence and grace.

This is why we do what we do. Sometimes the impact isn’t immediate. Sometimes it grows quietly, over time, across generations. And we’re humbled to witness how God uses simple yeses to shape futures—both in the lives of those we serve and those who come to serve alongside us.
