Sam Nadler writes about "the completeness of sin" on page 181 of his commentary on Romans, Volume 1:
2️⃣3️⃣⚠️ There are twenty-three areas of sinful behavior mentioned in [Romans 1:29-31]. This speaks of the comprehensive nature of sin and the
overall sinfulness of mankind.
2️⃣3️⃣⚠️ Being filled (play’ro’o) refers to being “under the influence” or controlled by sin.
2️⃣3️⃣⚠️ Any of these behaviors is possible when you’re controlled by sin. You’re either filled (controlled) with the Spirit or filled (controlled) with sin (Eph 5:18). There is no other choice; there are no spiritual plateaus.

A Messianic Commentary on the Book of Romans, Volume 1, is Sam Nadler's verse-by-verse study of Paul's seminal teaching to the congregation at Rome–and to all who are disciples of Messiah Yeshua today. Get your copy today at www.wordofmessiah.org/bookstore and learn (with the intent to obey)!

We looked at Rahab's (and her extended family's) deliverance last week, but this week Sam Nadler will show us the contrast between faith-filled Rahab and the faithless (and tragic) consequences of one (whose name we'll learn in the message) who chose to ignore God's command.

To refresh and prepare your mind and heart, you can read Joshua chapter 6.

"...the Lord your God turned the curse [of Balaam] into a blessing for [Israel] because the Lord your God loves you." Deuteronomy 26:5, NASB. (26:6 TLV/CJB)

Balaam had been "specially commissioned" to curse Israel...and he just couldn't do it.
He wanted to. He intended to. But he couldn't do it.
Today, all restraint seems to be lost.
As we live in "this present age," the curses are loud, constant, and influential.

Our prayers (for the peace of Jerusalem, through the Prince of Peace) need to be intentional and "without ceasing," as well.
May the Lord grant that our prayers and our voices faithfully plant seeds of Truth as we live and communicate Messiah's demonstrated Love!

Shabbat Shalom!

Sam Nadler writes:
"The fact that the stone struck the Philistine on his forehead was not a happy coincidence. It is the testimony of Adonai’s sovereignty in the fight.
"Once David threw the stone, then Adonai implemented what only He could do: He made David’s work effective!
"With the helmet that Goliath was wearing, the target for David’s stone was almost impossibly small, but God was
the guidance system for that rock. Throughout history, all successful believers depended on God to provide what they could not!" (Young David, page 300)

"Let anyone who has ears to hear listen to what the Spirit says to the congregations..." (Revelation 2:7, 11, 17, 26).
We've got the hardware on the sides of our heads, but are we spiritually tuned in with the intent to apply God's Word to our own lives?

The Revelation of Yeshua the Messiah, with John as the transcriptionist, isn't just a historical record of the problems and praises of the seven congregations in Asia Minor. Sam Nadler helps us see that those condemnations and commendations are on point for today.

Order your copy of Sam Nadler's book, Messiah's Seven Congregations - A Devotional Commentary on Revelation 1-3, for just $17 + shipping during our September Book of the Month sale at www.wordofmessiah.org/bookstore.

In that day, that glorious day(!), the Root of Jesse, Messiah Yeshua Himself, will be the One to whom His people, Israel, and all nations come.

And, as was prophesied to Abraham, those nations (aka Gentiles, see Genesis 12:3) "look to Him" (CSB) as their rallying point. Because, where else could they go?
"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Yeshua HaMaschiach (Jesus the Messiah), always and forever the Jewish Messiah!

Generally, we say that it's hardest to share your faith with your family.
Hard doesn't mean impossible, though.
Faith-filled Rahab was an effective witness to her own family. Her parents, siblings, and "all her relatives" heard and heeded her message!

Join us this morning, August 29, starting at 10:30 for a rich time of "worship and the Word."
Sam Nadler's message covering Joshua 6:22-25 will highlight "the Gentile remnant" – Rahab's family who trusted in Israel's God! As always, we will have much to learn and apply.
