There’s a song that I grew up with called, “Little is much when God is in it”.

I think of that little boy that gave his lunch to Jesus to feed the multitudes. I think he was proud to give it to Jesus and the disciples not knowing if he would receive anything in return. Probably didn’t even care. But I can imagine that he went home with a basket of blessings that were left over.

You may think that you don’t have a lot to offer to God or others, but you do. Little is much when God is in it. Just tell Jesus that you’re willing. And say, “Lord, if you can use anything, you can use me.”

One of my favorite Scriptures in the Bible is the promise that we find in James:

”Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…“
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬a

This Scripture promises us that if we draw closer to God, He will draw closer to us! And if you’ve ever wondered, “How will I know if God draws close to me?” My answer will always be, “Trust me, you will know!”

An encouraging word for you today:

What are you praying about? What answer do you need from God? I want to remind you today that faith keeps praying and believing and trusting and rejoicing when God is silent. Look at these two verses:

”And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.”“
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭15‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

But Jesus answered her not a word…

And in the meantime, the disciples were trying to discourage her (but none of their daughters were demon possessed!). She needed a miracle.

We never, ever quit praying when God seems silent or when things around us are confusing and discouraging. When God is silent and we need an answer to prayer, He may be dealing with us in ways that we don’t even realize. When God is silent, that is not a sign that He is rejecting us or unwilling to answer, but He is always doing something greater in our hearts and lives than we ever fully know at the moment.

”Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.“
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭15‬:‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Again, faith keeps praying through the silence of God. And because He is a good God, and because He is true to His Word and His promises, the answer is always on the way! Be encouraged today, your answer is on the way! You are loved!
