Our thoughts and prayers are with the Boone Family. Chester Gospel will miss Lou Ann's kind heart and warm smile, but we rejoice in her home going to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Holy Saturday... A solemn day of waiting and reflection on Jesus' sacrifice and the power of His resurrection that was to come. It reminds believers of the reality of Jesus' death and the victory over sin and death that His resurrection brings.

Relevant Bible verses:
• Matthew 12:40 — "For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."
• 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 — "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures."
• Luke 23:50-56 — The burial of Jesus and the preparation for the Sabbath after His death.

Good Friday... On this day, we reflect on the agony Jesus endured as He bore the penalty for our sins, a penalty that we could never pay ourselves. His death was substitutionary, meaning He died in our place, satisfying God's justice and making salvation possible for all who trust in Him. Good Friday reminds us of the love and mercy of God, who sent His Son to die for us so that we might be forgiven and reconciled to Him. It is a day to remember the seriousness of sin and the incredible grace extended to us through Jesus Christ.

• John 19:30 — "When Jesus therefore had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit."

Holy Thursday... Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper (Communion) during this meal, giving His followers a lasting ordinance to remember His sacrifice. This day also highlights Jesus’ example of servanthood, as He washed the feet of His disciples, demonstrating humility and love. This day reminds us of Jesus’ command to love one another and to serve others, as well as the importance of remembering His sacrifice through the Lord’s Supper.
