Sermon Recap: The Wilderness Experience
June 7, 2026 - Rev. Dr. Andrew B. Smoke
Philippians 2:9-11, Matthew 4:1-11

Jesus' journey to Calvary included a season in the wilderness, where He faced temptation at His weakest moment. Rev. Dr. Smoke reminded us that Satan often attacks when we are vulnerable, but Jesus overcame by standing on God's Word.

When life feels dark and uncertain, we can trust God to carry us through. As the Footprints in the Sand poem reminds us, the times we see only one set of footprints may be the very moments when the Lord is carrying us.

Key Takeaway: Don't lose hope in the wilderness. Keep your eyes on Christ, build your hope on things eternal, and trust that God will make a way. πŸ™πŸΎβœ¨

πŸ“– Journey Through Revelation – Week 13 Recap
This week, we examined Revelation 6:9–17 and the opening of the Fifth and Sixth Seals.

John's vision revealed two powerful truths: God remembers those who remain faithful to Him, and a day is coming when His righteousness and justice will be fully revealed. The cries of the martyrs remind us that God never forgets His people, while the dramatic events of the Sixth Seal remind us that no one can escape accountability before Him.

In a world that often seems unfair and uncertain, Revelation assures us that God is still on the throne, His purposes will prevail, and those who trust in Him have every reason to hope.

As Father’s Day approaches on June 21, we pause to recognize the men who have helped shape our lives through their faith, wisdom, sacrifice, and steady presence. Whether they are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, or spiritual fathers, their influence often reaches far beyond what they realize.

This Father’s Day, take a moment to encourage a father figure who has made a difference in your life. A kind word, a prayer, a phone call, or a simple β€œthank you” can mean more than you know.

We thank God for the men who lead, protect, teach, and love with strength and compassion. May He continue to bless them, renew them, and guide them in every season.

πŸ’™ β€œThe righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him.” β€” Proverbs 20:7

What makes the name of Jesus different from every other name?

In this message, Rev. Steven Flowe explores the significance of the name given to Jesus by our Heavenly Fatherβ€”a name that means salvation and carries unmatched authority and power.

The name of Jesus is a special name, a stainless name, and a saving name. There is no other name like His, and one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
