Life Church is a brand new church community in Charlotte, North Carolina that is passionate about encountering God in worship, growing in our understanding of Him, and sharing that with others.

Last Sunday, we were so blessed to welcome these little ones and come alongside these parents committing to raising their children in faith, truth, and the love of Jesus.

We’re grateful for a church family that believes in encouraging, supporting, and praying for one another through every season. Such a beautiful reminder that every child is known, loved, and created with purpose.

Fasting Fridays are a special time for our church to come together, focus on prayer, and surrender fully to God. Whether it’s your first time fasting or a familiar practice, we invite you to join us as we seek the Lord and break our fast together as a community.

⏰ Daylight Saving Time – March 8 Don’t forget to spring forward! Set your clocks ahead one hour this Sunday at 2 AM.

🙏 Guided Morning Prayer & Fasting – Wednesdays (March 11–April 1). Join us in the Sanctuary at 6 AM or 7 AM each Wednesday as we prepare our hearts for Resurrection Sunday. We also invite you to fast with us on these Wednesdays as we seek the Lord together.

🌳 Evangelism at Freedom Park – March 21 | 10 AM Come be encouraged and equipped as we share the hope of the Gospel with our Charlotte community. No experience needed—we’ll pair you with someone! We’ll also enjoy lunch together afterward.

❤️ Night for Life Dinner – March 26 Join us in supporting Queen City Pregnancy Resource Center at their annual Night for Life Dinner at the Charlotte Convention Center. When registering, enter “Life Church Table” in the Group Host field.

✝️ Good Friday Service – April 3 Join us as we gather to remember the sacrifice of Christ and reflect on the depth of His love for us.

📖 Secret Church – April 17 | 7 PM–1 AM A powerful night of devoted study of God’s Word and prayer for the persecuted church as we gather with believers around the world.

Starting February 15th, Life Church is hosting a 9-week Women’s Bible Study where we’ll be walking through the book of 1st Peter together using A Living Hope in Christ by Jen Wilkin. Together, we’ll explore what it means to live with hope, purpose, and confidence in Christ.

Welcome to the Life Church family ! Earlier this month, Drew stepped into leadership as our Pastor of Preaching & Vision.

A dedicated husband (Drew and Jessi will be celebrating their 19th anniversary this year!) and father of three, Drew has most recently been serving as Pastor of Equipping & Sending at Christ Community Church in Huntersville.

But bio and stats aside, here are a few things you may not know about Drew:

Q: What brought you to Life Church?
A: The clear direction of the Holy Spirit working through a desire to join a like-minded team of elders/pastors to see Charlotte and the nations reached with the gospel.

Q: What is one book (apart from the Bible) you think every Christian should read?
A: The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment by Jeremiah Burroughs.

Q: What are your favorite foods?
A: Red Meat, Cinnamon Toast Crunch & all South Asian cuisine.

Q: What is something people are often surprised to learn about you?
A: I believe 90’s country was music’s golden age. And cucumbers are a result of the Fall.

Q: What are your hobbies and the things you get excited about?
A: Bow Hunting, CrossFit, trips to the mountains with Jessi and the kids.

Q: What’s one piece of advice that has stuck with you over the years?
A: The church can get another pastor. Your wife has one husband and your kids have one dad.

Such an exciting moment last week getting to introduce and commission Chad Pyke as the newest member of our elder board. 🎉

Join us in praying that he will:
🙏 Serve faithfully as one who will give an account.
🙏 Shepherd joyfully as one who will gain a reward.

“So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.” - 1 Peter 5:1-4

✔️ Fasting Friday 🙏🏼 | On the first Friday of every
month, we are planning to fast together as a church. This month we will be fasting on April 5th

✔️ Community Basics 🏡 | Looking to join a Life Group? Join us for Community Basics to learn more about our groups and to get connected with one near you. Our next meeting will take place on Sunday, April 7th and will meet in the lobby right after the service.

✔️ Secret Church ✨| Join us on April 19 from 7pm to 1am for Secret Church. This is a unique, one-night event where we devote nearly 6 hours to intense study of God’s Word and passionate prayer for the persecuted, inspired by underground Asian house churches where believers are forced to gather in secret. Teaching led and guided by Pastor David Platt via streaming. If interested in joining, please DM us by April 5th

✔️ Serve Opportunity 🥁| Once the Chessers have their baby, Christopher will be taking some time off from drumming on Sundays! If you, or someone you know is a talented drummer and would be interested in stepping in for a bit, please DM us!

Join us at Life Church on Easter Sunday at 10am as we celebrate Christ’s resurrection with millions of believers around the world! ✨

This Friday, March 29th, join us for a Good Friday Service at 6:30pm for a time of worship as we remember Christ’s death and the sacrifice he made to deliver us from death and give us the hope of eternal life. 🙌

“Through Christ, I’ve experienced a profound transformation marked by freedom.

Freedom in the recognition of my sonship in God— being a son of God gives me the freedom of having nothing to prove, nothing to lose, nothing to hide, and nothing to fear.

Freedom in forgiveness. I have been able to find forgiveness in my heart just as I am forgiven daily even before awakening. The story of Joseph in the book of Genesis is one of walking dependent of God, but the biggest takeaway I have from it is forgiveness. Joseph never sought revenge. Sold to slavery by his brothers, he blessed his family and brothers that sold him to slavery with much more than what they sold him for. The infinite grace from God and this one example has shown that there is no room for hate in my heart.”

Congratulations on your baptism Melvin! What a blessing it was to celebrate the incredible transformation that God has brought in your life! 🙌
