We are so blessed with all the food donations we receive for our food pantry. It takes a village to serve the community and we have the best. Thank you to Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church, Christ UMC, Covenant UMC, Assurance UMC and to the many others who donate their time, energy, and $$ to help us do what we do. God is good! Our food pantry is open on Thursday mornings from 9:30-12:30.

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Mountain Island Charter School for a food donation drop off location. MICS will be collecting food donations for the Thrift UMC Food Pantry beginning Wednesday, November 5th through Wednesday, November 19th. Please drop off your food donations to Mountain Island Charter School, 13440 Lucia Riverbend Hwy, Mt. Holly, NC 28120, (Buildings C & D lobbies). All non-perishable items are needed and appreciated. God is so good. For over a month our food pantry has been struggling. Last week I got a call from a company, CTDI, and they had been holding a food drive for us. Today they delivered with over 2000 items. Thank you CTDI for all this wonderful food that will belp feed so many. Also thank you to Christ UMC for your continuous donations. We are so blessed by you both. It takes a village and we have the BEST!

Good morning. Thrift UMC is selling their indoor folding stage. The stage comes complete with the following:

2 sets of steps
8 4x8 ft carpeted floor panels with 4 guard posts for the steps and 2 stainless steel handrails.
10 8ft guard rails to mount on top of the flooring (with instructions)

Also included are 2 rolling stands for the platforms, steps, & railings for easy storage.

We are sooo excited to announce that Soul Food is back! Join us tomorrow night, Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 5:30pm for a meal, worship time and great fellowship. We are joining hands once again with our friends at Assurance Connections Campus to nourish both the body and the soul. Bring a friend and gather with us.

It was a blessing to join other local churches, and also Block Love Charlotte, in sharing the love of Jesus with our homeless neighbors tonight. We were able to do so through providing a meal, hats and scarfs, and new socks and underwear. And we have more to share in the future! Thanks be to God.
