QC Family Tree

QC Family Tree QC Family Tree uses cultural organizing to build community for the common good.

Since 2005, QC Family Tree has been working for justice from the corner of Parkway and Tuckaseegee in west Charlotte. We use the tools and methods of cultural organizing to build power within Black communities, primarily the Enderly Park neighborhood where we are located. We use cultural organizing to work with white congregations and other community organizations to disrupt and dismantle white supremacy.

🍁 September's Rhizome Arts Market is happening on Wednesday the 23rd from 6-8pm! We'll have vendors set up in the lobby of The Arts Factory during the opening of our newest group exhibition 'Joy as Resistance,' curated by .

💫 MEET YOUR WORKSHOP LEADER! Hoan Rahlan () is a Montagnard-Jarai artist specializing in portraiture, cultural narratives, and storytelling. Her art celebrates resilience within communities molded by migration and transformation. Through meaningful symbolism and mixed media techniques, she pays homage to identity and spirit.

During this 2-hour workshop, Hoan will help you identify the values shaping your decisions, uncover inherited beliefs that may be limiting growth, and explore whether your business practices actually align with who you are.

At the end, you'll work to create a 60 second reel that reflects your newly defined personal culture.

🌟ANNOUNCING YOUR NEWEST CULTURE BEARERS! For the Fall 2026 cohort, we'll be supporting three artists and an artist pair.

Their 10-week creative residency kicks off September 9, providing space, money, and opportunity to create art and engage the Enderly Park community. The residency will culminate in an exhibition opening in November.

We'll be sharing more about each of these talented artists soon, and opportunities to connect.

Located at Prince Wilson Auto Service on Beatties Ford Road, this fun piece uses Chantel’s signature splatter-painting style to convey memories and meaning.

See if you can spot:

🫧 The original car wash that stood on the property

FEATURED VENDOR! Another talented artist joining us for the Rhizome Arts Market on Saturday is Jasiatic Usher with . Many know Jasiatic from her photography or from her Liberation Dinners, but over the past year, she’s been honing a new metalsmithing practice.

Ancestral Metal features handworked brass, copper, and silver jewelry, sometimes incorporating stones or found treasures from the shore. Each piece is shaped, textured, and finished by hand.
