Fourth and fifth graders celebrated at the Forward End of Year Party at Lucky Strike. Children enjoyed bowling, arcade games, and pizza. Forward is a ministry through which children grow in faith and deepen their spiritual foundation as they prepare to transition into middle school. The Children’s Ministries team is supported by the Children’s Council, a group of dedicated parent volunteers. Members serve three years, focusing on a specific area of the ministry: Sunday School teacher recruitment, fellowship, hospitality, missions, faith formation, or VBS. We are grateful for this amazing group of women who give of their time and talents. A special thank you to our outgoing members, Erin Smith, Liz Gay, and Meghan Maciag, for their commitment.

Last Monday, had an amazing time eating pizza and playing bingo with our new friends over at Kings on Lamar. The Kings on Lamar community is one of Roof Above’s scattered sites, providing affordable, transitional housing, and they are one of the grant recipients from our Hope is Here campaign.
