Busy day at MCC. I’m so thankful to everyone that makes this ministry possible. Some days, miracles happen!! We had a baby in NICU coming home soon that needed infant car seat, and we were out…..until one of my former neighbors came with a car load of baby items and we were able to send our community health worker on her way to hospital with a really nice infant car seat!!! God is good!!!! We also had Nina with us today who knows how to show families how to use their new pack n play. We sometimes get so busy that we don’t have time to check every donated item so today Nina made sure everything was in working order!!! We also welcomed Liz to the “Dream Team” and she jumped right in and helped fill needs and helped our referrals find what they were looking for!!! Thank you Julie, Liz, Lori, Nina for ALL your help today and Regina who worked yesterday helping us prepare for today!!! So many stories today and we are grateful to be able to make a difference in the lives of families in our community!!! Thankful to Assurance UMC and Thrift UMC for ALL your help!!!!! ❤️🙏🏻❤️

So wonderful to catch up with Shawn today. She was in town for her nephew’s graduation so we quickly pulled together lunch and a visit to MCC. Shawn has always had a gift for praying the most beautiful, heartfelt prayers and we were fortunate enough to hear one today. Safe travels back to Indiana tomorrow Shawn❤️We love you and are grateful for our time together.

Thank you “Dream Team” members Julie, Lori and Regina for ALL your help today!!! We pulled for 21 emergency needs and Perry and Regina dropped some needed items over to Huntington Green today!! We also had several Moms due soon stop by and we were able to help them. So thankful to our neighbors and church community that donates to MCC. We were almost out of newborn and 0-3 baby girl clothing and as you can see from picture, we were able to replenish that size. Thanks be to God!!!! Thank you to Lori and Regina for all your help today!!! We helped with 23 emergencies that included helping family with twins in NICU, family in domestic violence shelter, boy who desperately needed shoes that fit, various other babies and children in need of clothing and few adults. Please Know that every family we help has a story and the need for help is greater than ever!!! Huge shout out again to the ladies Bible study group from Lake Forest Church. We have already started using the baskets you put together! Regina who leads our baby bundle ministry was thrilled!!! God is good!!!

I want to give a huge shout out to the young women’s Bible study group “Unfiltered Faith”from Lake Forest Church in Huntersville. One of the ladies ( Taylor Henry) that I know personally reached out to find out how their group could help with a need that MCC has . They put together baby baskets filled with love and encouragement with hand written notes to the Moms that will receive these. We are incredibly grateful for their kind and loving support. ( around 50 kids) If you see them, please thank them for giving of their time to continue to serve families in need. Thank you to Assurance UMC and Thrift UMC for your continued support.

The “Dream Team” at it again filling 13 emergencies that included 2 premie babies. In addition Regina dropped off a baby bundle to Huntington Green just as the Mom was headed to the hospital to deliver her baby. (Talk about timing) Thank you to Bobby and Pam Nelson for donating this nice toddler bed that Perry will deliver to HG for another need. We were also blessed to receive donations today from A Mighty Fortress Lutheran Church, 2 of our social workers, leftover yard sale baby clothes from Thrift and I’m sure there is more. We are incredibly grateful for our ministry partners that together help us to continue this ministry. Thank you to Arlene, Lori, Regina, Alison, Julie for ALL your help today and to AUMC and Thrift UMC for your continued support. God is GOOD….All the time!!!!

Busy day at MCC today filling 15+ emergencies today!!! Special shout out to the “Dream Team” volunteers today Lori, Regina & Carolina and Yary for all your help with these needs. We reconnected with a social worker we haven’t seen in years to help a Mom who is in the hospital expecting her baby anytime now. Thank you Sandy for bringing donations down today. We are so blessed to receive and share these items with families we serve. Thank you to Assurance UMC and Thrift UMC for your continued support. We also are so appreciative for all the help from Christ UMC. God is good❤️✝️❤️

Thank you to the many volunteers that help at MCC. Sandra organized our kids shorts area, while Lori and Karen went through donations and helped fill in more spring and summer sizes. We have been filling emergencies this month that have included Moms about to give birth and needing clothing for their babies as well as a safe sleep option for premie just coming home from hospital. We also shared work boots and clothing for 4 men for their jobs and helped provide an air mattress and sheets for someone in need. I received a sweet thank you just now…

I just wanted to say thank you so much again. I’m so grateful for the things you given me.

We love walking alongside our pregnant Moms and showering them with love through our baby bundles that Regina so carefully puts together!!!

Our NEEDS right now are as follows
Newborn and 0-3 spring and summer clothing
Toddler-preschool spring clothing

We have an abundance of women’s clothing at the moment and not much room for storage. Please consider Crisis Assistance or Compassion Closet or Lydia’s Loft for those donations.
