St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church was officially organized May 31, 1950 by a group of twenty-three dedicated workers. In 1990 the present structure was erected.

The church has had three pastors to serve that have each contributed to the development of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. Though the challenges were not always easy, both the congregation and the current pastor, Rev. Clifford Matthews Jr., continues to walk by faith knowing God Can! The church has fourteen ministries that serve faithfully to meet life challenges in the church and the surrounding community.

The stage is set, preparations are well underway, and we are excited for what is sure to be an amazing day of worship and fellowship tomorrow at St. Luke for LOVE IS SUNDAY! 💜🔥

Tomorrow is going to be a full day of love, community, worship, fellowship, fun, and family!

‼️KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

🚗 Parking in the side lot will be limited. If parking there, please park only in designated areas. Handicap parking will be available closest to the front entrance on the Norris Ave side. Parking is available in the lot across from the main entrance, and there will be overflow parking available as well. See a member of the team for assistance.

🍔 Cookout immediately following service featuring food, music, games, popsicles, will have amazing treats for purchase, and much more!

📸 Be sure to stop by our Love Is photo wall located at the front entrance of the church and take some amazing pics!

👕 All Ministry teams will be photographed in their Love Is shirts.

🎥 Our Media Team will be capturing quick 2-second “Love Is…” videos throughout the day.

🛡 Our Security Team will be available to assist as needed.

Now do us one favor… Invite a neighbor. Tell a friend. Bring somebody with you. Because LOVE IS FOR EVERYONE, and all roads lead to 1600 Norris Ave tomorrow at 10AM! ❤️
