SEPTEMBER with HOPE KIDS and ANCHORED MOMS

This month, we have several opportunities in our Hope Kids Ministry to connect with other kids and families! Check out the upcoming events below, and be sure to REGISTER on our website so we can plan ahead!

💦LITTLE KIDS FAMILY GATHERING- We will have splash pads, water balloons, water mats, and so much more! All families with kids birth-kindergarten are invited to join us Sept. 12th from 9:30-11am at Moments of Hope Church.

⚓️ANCHORED MOMS- This is a monthly meetup for moms of babies-5th graders. This month we will meet Sept. 15th from 9:30-11am and explore biblical marriage and the beautiful calling of being a wife.

🧲BIG KIDS GIDDY UP- Our Big Kids event this month for 1st-5th graders is a fun filled afternoon of horses, nature, and adventure. We will meet at My Farms Camp in Pineville on Sept. 19th from 1:30-4:30pm.

🍂We are SO EXCITED to start back our AVODAH YOUTH and AVODAH YOUNG ADULTS ministries this Fall.

🍁AVODAH YOUTH- 6th-12th graders meet every Wednesday starting September 9th from 6:30-8:15p. We have a time of food and fellowship, followed by either an “all in” worship and teaching or meeting in small groups.

🍁AVODAH YOUNG ADULTS- 18-30 year olds meet every Monday night starting September 14th at 6:30p. Each week we will have a time of food and fellowship, as well as a variety of teaching, worship, panel discussion, and more! Whether you are a college student, beginning your career, or in the early stages of starting a family, you are welcome here!

Jesus Sees Every Gift // Luke 21:1–4

This week we had our final sermon in our three-part series to kick off our Greater Glory Campaign.

As we looked back at Exodus 25-40, we see that:
➡️The Tabernacle had specific measurements
➡️Craftsmen were gifted by the Holy Spirit to build it
➡️Moses asked that ALL participate (35:29)
➡️No one was forced or taxed- all gave a freewill offering
➡️The building of the Tabernacle BUILT FAITH

Jesus sees all gifts. In Luke 21 we see the poor widow:
➡️As the most vulnerable in the culture
➡️But God has been faithful and always provided for her
➡️Gave a small amount compared to others
➡️YET JESUS calls her a gold metal giver

✨He sees all our gifts as well, and all are important to him

✨COMING UP AT MOHC✨

If you want to GROW and GO with us, here are a few opportunities coming up at Moments of Hope Church:

➡️Care Team Gathering (8/30)- Anyone interested in volunteering in any role with the Care team (grief, visitation, celebrating life, follow-up), come and hear how you can get involved in caring for those in our church and community.

➡️Grief Share (8/25-11/17)- Grief Share is for people grieving the death of a family member or friend and is led by people who have experienced grief, understand what you are going through, and want to help.

➡️The Story of God (9/13-10/18)- This comprehensive Bible overview uses 20 timeline events to teach the basic framework of the Bible and reveals Jesus as the hero of the story.

➡️Women’s Bible Study (Every Wednesday morning starting 9/9)- Each week, one of our nine amazing teachers will bring a different woman from the Bible to life, sharing biblical insight, personal application, and encouragement to help us grow deeper in our own walk with Jesus.

➡️Men’s Bible Study (Every Thursday evening starting 9/10)- This study is for men who want to learn how to be a better husband, father, and man in the workplace, and to follow Christ more fully in all areas of life.

Colossians 4:2 says, "Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving." What would happen if there was a way to bring focus and momentum to your prayer life while also being intentional about praying for others?

Prayer Watch is a way for you to take one hour each week to intentionally pray for our church, our community, and the people around us. You’ll receive weekly prayer prompts and be able to see prayer requests from others and let them know you’re praying for them, reminding ourselves that we are not alone.

You Can Send It Ahead // Luke 16:1–13

This Sunday we dived into the difficult parable of the Unrighteous Steward and discovered the priceless gem of God using our finances for His eternal purposes.

✨We cannot take our possessions with us into eternity BUT we can send our wealth ahead of us even now by giving to the LEAST and the LOST.

Recently, we’ve had the privilege of hearing from two of our international partners receiving Hope Gifts and sharing of how your tithe money has gone to further the gospel around the world. We’ve also heard from our local partners serving in areas of human trafficking, foster care, and inner-city youth discipleship. It has been a privilege to say we’ve had an impact in over 50 nations, with the goal of furthering our reach for Christ and caring for the most vulnerable among us.
