A Man with a Withered Hand // Luke 6:6–11

This Luke passage reminds us that Jesus is in the restoration business. Revelation 21:5 tells us that he is making ALL things new. He came for the broken, the withered, the atrophied. He came for our withered hearts.

So how do we apply this? We must remember:

➡️ Helping people’s hunger is more important than rules and regulations➡️ Helping people’s pain is more important than rules and regulations

✨A great leadership principle: People first!

✨MINISTRY TEAM SPOTLIGHT :: Worship and Prayer Ministry

Our Worship and Prayer Ministry team is at the heart of what we do at Moment’s of Hope Church. Led by Parker Robinson, our worship team masterfully focuses our attention on Jesus, bringing us into an atmosphere of surrender and praise. Our Prayer and Ministry Team, led by Caleb Graves, prays over our Sunday services weekly and are available to pray with congregants during and after services. We are so grateful for volunteers, like Kelly Dick, who give of their time and talent to serve the body of Christ in such a vital way.

We are always looking for musicians and vocalists to join our worship team, as well as Ministry Team leaders that desire to pray with others. We also have smaller events you can participate in for worship if you are unable to commit to Sunday morning. Our pre-service prayer is open to anyone who wants to join in- we pray over our Sunday morning space from 8-8:30am.

🎟️We had such a wonderful time of fun and fellowship last Saturday at our Little Kid’s Carnival! Despite moving everything inside, several families still showed up for carnival games and a hotdog lunch! We are so grateful for Brooke Thomas, our Little Kid’s Coordinator, for putting together such a fun event!

Jesus is Lord of Sabbath // Luke 6:1–5

The Christian faith is a relationship, not rule-following. Yes, you need one day a week for Sabbath rest, but every day should be a Sabbath rest. How can we please God? By having FAITH. See Hebrews 11:6 —"And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him."

It's not just do/done, it's PURSUIT/PURSUED. Either you keep pursuing God by your works, hoping he approves of you OR… The Son of Man, the Adonai/Kurios of the universe, the One who created the Sabbath, is PURSUING YOU to have an eternal relationship with him. It is not based on what you do for him, but what he has done for you. On the cross, he paid it all…the Lord of the universe took my place on his cross.

✨Jesus is God: It's the heart of the Christian faith.

✨MINISTRY TEAM SPOTLIGHT :: Security and Facilities

We are so thankful for our Security and Facilities Team, led by Mitch Simpson. The Security Team provides a safe and secure environment for all who come through our doors and the Facilities Team oversees all building maintenance, construction, set up, and tear down of our spaces.

If you’d like to serve with this amazing group of Hopesters, our most urgent need is helping set up and tear down tables and chairs. We are also always looking for volunteers skilled with electrical and plumbing that would be available to offer insight and advice.

Mobilizing Everyday Missionaries // Ryan Carson

Mobilization is the process of educating, equipping, and empowering every member of the church to live as ambassadors of the King and His Kingdom — fulfilling the Great Commandment (loving God and loving others) and fulfilling the Great Commission (making disciples) through the power of the Holy Spirit — so that the reality of heaven is experienced on the earth as we await the Second Coming of Jesus and the Final Consummation of His Eternal Kingdom.
