This week Rev. Woods continued the series on being the Best Version of Ourselves. The 2nd lesson was titled Be Excellent. The background scripture was Colossians 3:23. The main theme was that we need to strive for excellence in every aspect of our lives.

We all have something that the Lord has given us that is at the core of who we are. That core has to be solid. What's we understand that then we can build on that to get better. We have to work every day to work every day on doing the right thing. We have to work hard on accomplishing thise things that are meant for us.

Life is a series of ups, downs, good and bad, happy and sad with everything in between. With that being said, everyday we have the opportunity to put away all the bad and wrongs, forgive ourselves, and build on the person that we are meant to be based on how we were chosen by God. Knowing ourselves entails knowing who we are inside and building on those things.

Today, Rev. Woods started a new series of lessons under the subject "The Best Versions of Ourselves".

The 1st lesson... entitled "Know Yourself"

The overarching theme of the message is for us to realize that we are all chosen by God for something. We can put away all the bad things about ourselves...all our wrongs...forgive ourselves...and build on the person that we are in Christ Jesus.

It's 2026! God has blessed us to see a new year. Today Minister Woods started a new Series on Breakthrough is possible. The first message entitled...Prayer is Powerful. Background scripture James 5:16-17. The main thing we need to remember is how prayer is one of the most powerful tools that God has given us. We all should work on our prayer lives. Praying in good times. Praying in bad times. Praying when fighting against the enemy. Praying consistently.

I know finding/understanding your purpose is not a one size fits all. Some find it early in life. Others later. Regardless of when you find it, you have to stay on that path. if you are on a different path then you may have to adjust. Those adjustments are necessary for us to live with purpose and achieve our destiny.
