Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
More than a decade ago, my brother had a very bad heart attack and it was an end of life experience. Being the youngest in my family, I went to our dad and explained that his oldest son was coming near death. Our father had appearingly a distant relationship with God. As he listened quietly, he had his hands folded. Very respectfully, I said "Under the circumstances, don't you think it's about time that you said yes to Jesus?" Our dad unfolded his hands and nodded his head, "yes". There was no drama.
I have considered a simple yes is a yes. I always remember the thief on the cross where Jesus didn't require any drama but the man's faith. During this Easter, remember, a faith filled yes is a yes; just like my dad, and just like the thief on the cross.
