One of our staff members sitting with a neighbor to work on their résumé. At Project 658, we’re about more than programs and businesses—we walk alongside our neighbors. It means doing life together, showing up for one another, and helping each other take the next step.

Last Thursday we launched Community Lunch: Meals That Matter.

Setting tables that foster hope and build community has long been a tradition at Project 658. Many of you have experienced a 658 Community Lunch, most recently held on Mondays and Thursdays, where neighbors, past program participants, staff, and families gather around a vibrant hub of activity.

Meals That Matter builds on that foundation, creating deeper connections through greater engagement and intentionality. As Bella Miller, Project 658 Program and Support Manager, shares, “The heart is to use our Community Lunch as a more intentional space to bring our ministry partners and neighbors together. We are excited about this ‘shared space’ as we continue to walk alongside those we serve.”

We are grateful to longtime partner Elevation Church for kicking off the first Meals That Matter. Alongside other local churches, they are stepping in to help create meaningful, welcoming spaces each month.

On a chosen Thursday, a church will “adopt” a Community Lunch. The concept is simple: share a brief devotion and prayer, then sit side by side with our neighbors to enjoy a meal together. At the same time, children are engaged through thoughtful activities designed just for them.

We believe something powerful happens when people gather around a table, not just to eat, but to be seen, known, and connected. Thank you for being part of a community that makes this possible. Our doors are always open, join us at the table.

We would love to have your church or group join us! We will provide everything you need, just come ready to connect. Spots are limited to 10 people.
