THIS IS ONE7 HONDURAS: TOMI & PEDRO 🇭🇳
Meet Tomi and Pedro. If you’re going to follow along with One7 Honduras, these are two people you need to know.
They have some of the biggest servant hearts of anyone we know. When our team comes from the States, they open their home to us, give up their own beds, cook for us and make sure we have everything we need. They let us use their car and motorcycles, drive us all over Honduras, take off work to serve alongside us and somehow never say no to any of our crazy ideas.
And trust us, there have been a lot of crazy ideas. 😂
But that’s just who they are. If there is a need, they’re there. If there is somewhere we need to go, they figure out how to get us there. If God opens a door, they’re ready to walk through it with us.
They are truly the boots on the ground for One7 Honduras. They help with everything from the One7 office to serving families and communities, and so much of what you see happening would not be possible without them.
Most of what they do happens behind the scenes and without any recognition. They simply love people, serve wherever they’re needed and continue to say yes.
We could never fully put into words how thankful we are for Tomi and Pedro and the way they have welcomed One7 into their lives and their home. They aren’t just people who help us do ministry in Honduras, they’re family. 🤍🇭🇳

Summer at One7 🤍

From Aviation Camp sponsored by Tim Miller with Barringer Construction, pool days with the Castle family, training clinics with Carolina Ascent, water slides, Bible studies, two of our teams finishing top four in the nation at Nationals, and everything in between… this summer was one for the books.

Our kids had the chance to learn new things, build friendships, grow in their faith, compete at the highest level, and just be kids. None of it happens without the people who continue to show up, give, serve, coach, host, pray, and believe in what God is doing through One7.

We are so thankful for everyone who helped make this our best summer yet. And somehow, the first day of school is already right around the corner. 🥹

Summer, you were good to us. Now we’re ready for everything this next school year holds. 🤍

We were so thankful to welcome the Providence Academy Girls Soccer team back to One7 this summer! ⚽️❤️

These girls spent their time serving alongside us, building relationships with our kids, and pouring into our community.

A huge thank you to Carolina Ascent FC for partnering with us to provide an incredible soccer clinic for the girls. We’re grateful for partners who believe in creating opportunities, investing in the next generation, and using the game of soccer to bring people together.

We are so thankful for the years of investment Elevation Church has made in One7.

Looking back on all of the Love Weeks throughout the years, this past week was a full-circle moment. We are especially thankful for the vision David has always had for this ministry: to invest in the next generation, empower young leaders to step out in faith, and trust God to accomplish what often seems impossible. Because of that vision and his commitment to protecting it, we had the privilege of welcoming Graham and Abbey Furtick to lead us in devotion and worship. Seeing the next generation carrying that same heart for ministry was a powerful reminder of how God continues to multiply what began so many years ago.

It has been incredible to watch both Elevation and One7 grow under the leadership of two incredible leaders. We are so thankful God allowed Pastor Steven Furtick’s and David Garrett’s paths to cross years ago. What began with a simple connection has grown into a faithful partnership that has impacted countless lives and continues to bear fruit today.

Today we honor and remember Wendell Long, a dear friend, mentor, and faithful supporter of our One7 families.

Wendell was the kind of man who showed up the very day we called. He invested deeply in our staff, loved our students well, and modeled what the love of Christ looks like through faithful, everyday action. His patience, generosity, and steadfast presence left a lasting impact on our community.

Thank you, Wendell, for loving so deeply, teaching so faithfully, and always showing up. We mourn your loss on this side of heaven, but we rejoice knowing you are in the presence of Jesus.

Both our U16 and U19 teams have advanced to the US Club Soccer National Semifinals, placing them among the top four teams in the nation in their age groups.

This journey would not have been possible without the people who believed in these players long before the national stage.

This morning our teams hit the road again for the final stretch to Denver!

Before they did, they were blessed to spend the night with Michael and Lori Jette, who opened their home, welcomed everyone with incredible hospitality, and took the time to pour into our boys. We are so thankful for the way they cared for our teams and reminded them what this journey is really about.

As our players and staff finish the drive and prepare for Nationals, we’d love for you to keep them in your prayers. Pray for safe travels, unity, good health, and that Christ would be glorified in everything they do, both on and off the field.

The newest member of the One7 family, baby Leo!! 🤍

Congratulations to Sydney and Nhiet as they welcome their sweet baby boy into the world. What a gift and blessing children are, and we are so thankful to celebrate this special season with your family.

We are praying for many blessings over baby Leo, for wisdom and strength for Sydney and Nhiet, and that Leo would grow to know just how deeply he is loved by both his family and the Lord.
