A Statement on the Passing of Elder Timothy Lyons

It is with deep sorrow and hearts bowed in humble submission to the sovereign will of Almighty God that we acknowledge the peaceful transition of our beloved brother, Elder Timothy Lyons.

Elder Lyons faithfully served the Mid-Southeastern Region as Regional Vice President until August 2016. His steadfast leadership, humble spirit, and faithful service to the Kingdom of God have left a lasting impact upon our region and the many lives he touched through ministry.

While our hearts grieve, we find comfort in the promise of Scripture: “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” (Psalm 116:15)

On behalf of Elder Chester F. Brown, III, Lady Yolanda Brown, and the churches of the Mid-Southeastern Region, we extend our heartfelt prayers, love, and deepest sympathy to his devoted wife, Mother Donnetta Lyons, the Lyons family, the Kings Mountain View Progressive Primitive Baptist Church, and all who mourn his passing. We pray that the God of all comfort will strengthen you, sustain you, and grant you His perfect peace in the days ahead.

We thank God for Elder Lyons’ life, his legacy of faithful service, and his unwavering commitment to the cause of Christ. May his memory continue to inspire us to serve the Lord with the same dedication and faithfulness.
