“What’s In Your Hands”- Pastor Roger Green, Jr.

IT’S NOT YOURS

Tonight, we begin our September journey, Rooted in Stewardship, with a powerful lesson from Psalm 24:1–4.

Stewardship begins when we understand one foundational truth: God owns everything.

Our finances, time, talents, opportunities, relationships, homes, influence, and even our lives have been entrusted to us by God. We are not the ultimate owners. We are stewards.

Join Pastor Roger Green, Jr. for “IT’S NOT YOURS” as we examine what it means to move beyond simply maintaining what God has given us and begin faithfully managing, developing, and maximizing it for His glory.

Before asking God for more, ask yourself: “Am I faithful with what He has already placed in my hands?”

What an unbelievable start to the school year!

Today was a wonderful day at Prayer & Deliverance Tabernacle as we came together to bless our students with school supplies and a few basic essentials as they get ready for a new school year.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to support our children, encourage their success, and let them know that their church and community are behind them. Special appreciation and love to Janette Simmons Kinard and Champion House of Care for their partnership and generous support.

Here’s to a great school year ahead!

30 Years of Faith. 30 Years of Ministry. 30 Years of God’s Faithfulness.

What a wonderful 30th Anniversary Sunday at Prayer & Deliverance Tabernacle! We give God ALL the glory for what He has done and for the generations of lives impacted through this ministry.

Special thanks to Sunday Best Season Two finalist John McClure and his wonderful wife for celebrating with us and helping make this occasion so special.

And we’re just getting started! We’re celebrating ALL YEAR LONG, with more anniversary events and special moments still to come.

To God be ALL the glory!

Great things are in store for our community and our city!

A special thank you to Chief Stella Patterson and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for opening their doors to meaningful collaboration with faith and community leaders. We are grateful for the opportunity to work together, build stronger relationships, and find new ways to serve the people of Charlotte.

Partnership creates possibilities. We’re excited about what’s ahead!

ROOTED IN COMMUNITY | 7 Jewish Principles of Community
Bible Study with Pastor Roger Green, Jr.

What if biblical community is about more than simply gathering together? What if God designed us to live with a deep sense of responsibility for one another?

In this powerful Bible Study, Pastor Roger Green, Jr. explores “7 Jewish Principles of Community”—biblically rooted principles found in Scripture and developed throughout Jewish tradition that teach us how to move from “ME” to “WE.”

Throughout Scripture, God's people were never intended to function as disconnected individuals. Israel was a covenant community—families, generations, tribes, leaders, neighbors, and worshipers who understood that their relationship with God created responsibilities toward one another.

The 7 Principles

1. Arevut — Mutual Responsibility
We are responsible to care about what happens to one another.

2. Chesed — Active Lovingkindness
Love must become something we do.

3. Tzedakah — Righteous Generosity
What God places in our hands carries responsibility.

4. Minyan — The Sacred Power of Gathering
Some dimensions of faith were designed to happen together.

5. Shalom Bayit — Peace in the Home
Strong communities require healthy homes.

6. L'Dor V'Dor — From Generation to Generation
Community must outlive the current generation.

7. Tikkun Olam — Responsibility Beyond Our Walls
Healthy community should improve the world around it.

This lesson challenges us to understand that community is not simply about proximity—it is about responsibility.

Who are you checking on?
Who are you helping?
Who are you pouring into?
How are you using your resources to bless others?
What relationships need healing?
What are you intentionally passing to the next generation?

And perhaps the greatest question:
Is your community better because you and your church are in it?

This Week's Rooted in Community Challenge

- Check on somebody.
- Help somebody.
- Give to somebody.
- Gather with somebody.
- Make peace with somebody.
- Teach somebody.
- Serve somebody.

Seven principles. Seven actions. One week.

“Community begins when somebody else's condition becomes more than somebody else's problem.”

Our goal is not simply to become people who attend the same church. We are becoming a deeply rooted community that loves one another, carries one another, develops the next generation, and makes a difference beyond the walls of the church.

If this Bible Study strengthens you, LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE, and SUBSCRIBE, and share this lesson with someone who believes in building stronger families, churches, and communities.
