I want to start by asking you a question. And I want you to sit with it for a moment before we move on.
When is the last time you looked at the news—really looked at it—and thought to yourself: "The Church has a strategy for this"?
Because here is what we are watching in real time:
Fentanyl is annihilating families in every zip code—rural, suburban, and urban. No neighborhood is immune. Children are being buried by their parents because of a drug that is 100 times stronger than morphine and cheaper than a fast-food meal.
Su***de rates among teenagers have reached levels that mental health professionals are calling a national emergency. Young people are more digitally connected and spiritually more alone than any generation in human history.
We are watching the dismantling of the family unit at a pace unthinkable twenty years ago. Single-parent households, absent fathers, broken covenants, and the children who grow up in those fractures are often the ones filling our prison systems a decade later.
Political polarization has turned church members against each other. We've seen congregations split, not over theology but over politics. The enemy has been more successful in dividing the body of Christ through CNN and Fox News than he ever was through outright persecution.
Human trafficking is happening in our cities. Our suburbs. Our communities.
And the Church — the most powerful institution on the face of the earth, filled with the Spirit of the Living God, armed with the name of Jesus — is often more known for what we are against than for what we are doing.
I am not saying that to shame anyone. Most believers are doing remarkable things in their community. I am saying it because I believe God is calling us, right now, in this season, to a coordinated, unified, intentional response to the lostness of our generation.
And that response begins with prayer.
That is where Breastplate Prayer can be embraced and used as a strategy.
And we have built a digital home for it at BreastplatePrayer.com.
Visit the site to take your position! RECORD your 12 breastplate names. READ the downloadable document about the Onyx Stones. SELECT your onyx stones and instruct them to select their 12 breastplate names, and select 2 onyx stones as well!
