Before our high school graduates head off to what’s next, we had the joy of blessing them on the bimah.

Wherever this next path takes you, we hope you carry with you the deep knowledge that you are loved here and always have a home at Temple Beth El.

Mazal tov, Class of 2026! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see what comes next.

Cantor Danielle Rodnizki reflects on the Priestly Blessing and the very human ways blessing shows up in our lives.

A phone call. A meal after loss. A teacher who sees possibility. A friend who really listens.

Blessing is not only something we receive. It is something we help carry into the world.

Shabbat shalom from Temple Beth El.

B'nei Mitzvah of Penelope Rubenstein and Greaber Kahan

Our community joins together each Shabbat morning at 10:30am for prayer, words of wisdom, and the public reading of the Torah. Many weeks, B’nei Mitzvah students join our clergy leading the Shabbat Morning Service. On these special weeks, we celebrate our young adults’ deep commitment to Jewish learning, leadership, and personal spiritual growth.

A mitzvah really can start just about anywhere.

For Sara Friedman and many in our SPICE community, it starts with an empty pill bottle that could have easily ended up in the garbage.

Instead, those bottles are collected at Temple Beth El, shared with volunteers at South Mecklenburg Presbyterian Church, filled with body wash, and given to neighbors at Roof Above.

It is such a simple act of care, and Sara has helped make it part of our community’s rhythm.

Charlotte church and synagogue come together to help those experiencing homelessness through dignity and cleanliness at Roof Above!

Miriam’s Well closed out the season with an evening rooted in purpose and the work of showing up for one another.

At From Passion to Purpose, Rabbi Lexi Erdheim led a meaningful conversation with Kayla Leonard of Hope for Justice and Rose Planer and Dr. Jenn Kacmar of The Recalibrate Program about human trafficking prevention, women’s health, workplace wellness, and the issues shaping women’s lives today.

Thank you to our panelists, Miriam’s Well leadership, and everyone who joined us for this important conversation. We’re so proud of the spaces Miriam’s Well created this year, and we’re already looking forward to what’s ahead this fall.
