Come early at 9:30 AM for Breezeway Coffee on the Front Lawn, then join us for 10:30 worship and our Blessing of the Backpacks. Students and teachers, bring your backpacks—we’d love to send you into the new school year with a special blessing. ✨

Following worship, we’ll have a brief congregational meeting and then gather to celebrate and thank Margo Fraga. 🤍

🎉 Welcome to Selwyn, René!
We are delighted to welcome René Prager as Selwyn Avenue Presbyterian Church’s new Director of Christian Education and Formation for Adults, Children and their Families!

René brings a deep love for Christian education and years of experience serving children, youth, adults and families. She earned her Master of Arts in Christian Education in 2024 and is a Certified Christian Educator (PCUSA).

For René, ministry is about relationships, learning and growing in faith together. From her very first conversation with Selwyn, she felt God calling her here—and she was especially drawn to the way our congregation loves and supports one another and our partnership with Montclaire Elementary School.

Outside of church, René loves chasing waterfalls, hiking, photography and spending time with her family—her husband Chris, their two daughters and sons-in-law, grandson, and two grand-dogs. 🐾

René says, “I look forward to learning more, building relationships, and growing in our faith together.”
We are so excited to have René as part of the Selwyn family. Please join us in giving her a very warm welcome! 💙
