Convergence Church

Convergence Church We desire to be disciples who make disciples and to be a church who plants and partners with other local churches. (Acts 1:8)

The word “convergence:” is the act of moving toward unity, so together we converge towards Christ. We at Convergence Church seek to be a diverse group joined together in order to unify in and towards Christ, as we disciple one another and create new disciples together. We are a family of broken sinners who have been adopted by God (John 1:12) the Father, redeemed and counted as righteous by our fa

ith in the Glorious Savior Jesus Christ (Rom. 4:5), and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live on mission for God.

Dear Convergence Family and Friends,

Grace and peace to each one of you. Today, with a blend of solemnity and trust, we share a significant decision from the hearts of your pastors. Following the guiding hand of the Lord, we have made the decision to suspend our Sunday gatherings. Please know, this choice was made with careful consideration and not as a response to any fault or failings.

Since our inception in 2015, we've witnessed the remarkable work of God in the life of our church. Souls have found faith, and many have been baptized into the family of God. The fruit born out of our collective love for God and each other, demonstrated through obedience to the Great Commission, has been truly inspiring.

To each member, both present and past, we extend our sincere thanks. Your role in the life of this church and the advancement of the Kingdom has been invaluable. As we navigate this challenging season, we want to reassure you that the Good Shepherd is leading us, and His promise never to abandon us holds true.

We recognize the difficulty this season may bring to current families, and we want to remind you of our commitment to love and support you through this transition. Our earnest desire is to see each one of you thrive and enrich the Gospel-centered community you become a part of. The pastors are here for you, but we also encourage you to continue pursuing God through His Word and His people. Take the lessons learned and use them for His glory in the new community He has placed you in.

May the love of Christ, surpassing all knowledge, accompany you as you navigate this season of change. We hold fast to the promise that God is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

With deep compassion, gratitude, and love,
Pastor Brian and Pastor Carl

“Celebration is holy when it is done according to God’s design, and it is a natural, even necessary, response to God’s grace and mercy to His people.”

“Hear the word of the Lord, O nations,
and declare it in the coastlands far away;
say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him,
and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.’
For the Lord has ransomed Jacob and has redeemed him from hands too strong for him.
They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion,
and they shall be radiant over the goodness of the Lord,
over the grain, the wine, and the oil,
and over the young of the flock and the herd;
their life shall be like a watered garden, and they shall languish no more.
Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance,
and the young men and the old shall be merry.
I will turn their mourning into joy;
I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.
I will feast the soul of the priests with abundance,
and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness,
declares the Lord.”

———————————

Now Herod the tetrach heard about all that was happening, and he was perplexed, because it was said by some that John had been raised from the dead, by some that Elijah had appeared, and by others that one of the prophets of old had risen. Herod said, “John I beheaded, but who is this about whom I hear such things?” And he sought to see Him.

On their return the apostles told Him all that they had done. And He took them nad withdrew apart to a town called Bethsaida. When the crowds learned it, they followed Him, and He welcomed them and spoke to them of the kingdom of God and cured those who had need of healing. Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.” But He said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.” For there were about five thousand men. And He said to His disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” And they did so, and had them all sit down. And taking the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then He broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And they all ate and were satisfied. And what was left over was picked up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.

And He called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. And He said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics. And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.” And they departed and went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.
