Calling all women and youth group girls! Join us for our first Women’s Gathering Market — think mini farmers market, but everything is homemade!
How it works: Each person should bring 10 of one item to share. Your 10 items don’t have to be identical, but you’ll need to bring 10 total, and everything should be individual or individually wrapped. Then we’ll “shop” the market — you’ll come with 10 of your item and leave with 10 different goodies!
Wondering what to bring? Here are a few ideas:
Baked goods
Jellies or jams
Chips & salsa
Body scrubs
Candles
Plants
Bookmarks
Keychains
Other handmade or homemade goodies
Not the crafty type? No problem! Put together something fun like a mini spa kit with a face mask, lotion, chapstick or soap; a baking kit with an oven mitt, spatula and cookie mix; a snack box with several treats; or a notebook-and-pen set.
What will we do? We’ll start the afternoon by decorating our own tote bags to use while shopping. If you have fabric scraps, fabric markers or other supplies that would be fun for decorating, feel free to bring them! Then we’ll open the market and shop each other’s creations.
Come ready to make something, share something, and go home with a tote full of fun things made and gathered by the women and girls in our church family!
