Faith Hope & Love CLT

Faith Hope & Love CLT https://youtu.be/a_pjLodIb4Y The Faith, Hope & Love program makes positive changes in the family unit and the student.

Success is accomplished through a collaboration of teachers, parents, volunteers and mentors. Students achieve academic excellence, spiritual growth, and emotional well-being through one-on-one mentoring.

Today we’re reminiscing on last year’s sweet book launch with Taylor… and looking ahead as she releases her new children’s book, You Are So Loved.

Her upcoming Love & Light Fest is all about giving families a place to play, listen to her live book reading, and be reminded of how deeply they are loved by Jesus.

And yes — she still owns a thriving bakery, Heirloom Confections, so expect more than just her famous cake balls at the event. Come support her and enjoy a beautiful afternoon with your family!

For those who may not know, Faith, Hope & Love is moving out of our space on the church grounds of Grace Covenant Church — a place where church members have loved our children and families in countless ways. When the church relocated, we prepared for our own move as well.
⭐ FHL is not closing — our mission continues, even as our location changes.

Grace Covenant Church is where FHL children attended Sunday services…
where our Tutor Specialist led students in music…
and where church members mentored students after school.

And beyond the building, this church community has supported FHL in so many ways:
• GCC members have served as FHL Board Members and attended the Yearly Banquet
• They have formed teams for the Annual Clay Shoot
• Baptisms, pool parties, and fall festivals were hosted in their homes
• And volunteers showed up in many unseen ways

In these past weeks, church members even carried the last of our items out — helping us finish this chapter and step into the next.

We don’t know yet where our next home will be, but we trust Proverbs 16:9 which says, “We plan our way, but the Lord establishes our steps.” And we carry the steadfast faith, hope, and love of this church with us as we step into this transition for FHL Mentoring.

In Loving Memory of Karl Albertson, whose faithful presence meant so much to our community.

As both a Mentor and Assessor, Chris Quick has seen firsthand what consistent support can do — and she shares this reflection with us.

"Serving, mentoring, and assessing children at FHL has been a tremendous blessing, honor, and privilege. Numbers tell a story. Through educational assessments, the data is clear — the FHL mentoring and tutoring works!

As an Educator and Counselor [by trade], I love seeing not only the academic improvement but the confidence that success brings to the sweet children I serve. God gives skills to each of us, and by using our skills to serve His children, we are loving Him — and in turn, we are blessed. I’m thankful to be a part of this ministry."

She concludes with Tim Tebow's famous words, “God doesn’t need any of us to accomplish His plans but invites us to share the Gospel, love and care for people, pray and point others to Him…”

If this kind of impact speaks to you, we’d love to talk with you about mentoring at FHL.

If that first picture doesn't share the heart of My Farm Camps I don't know what does! Every staff member showed great love to the children through teaching them to ride and take care of horses. Memories were made on this field trip.

Also friends, be sure to show the Farm some love tomorrow at their Spring Jam Fundraiser (Live Music / $10 / 4PM / more details on their page)

At FHL, collaborating with both the child and their family is essential to building trust and staying true to our mission.

Recently, we were genuinely moved by the way Executive Director Kristy Davis was celebrated. The kids surprised her with cake, and then family surprised her again with thoughtful gifts.
As mama Brianna shared, “We just love the program so much, and it was the least we could do.” These relationships mean everything.

From the Archives -

Something you might not know: at FHL, we walk with the whole family.

Yes, 1:1 mentoring is what you most often see — and it’s impacted more than 800 children over the years. But just as important are the relationships built quietly in the background. For more than 2 decades, our team has celebrated milestones with families, attended award ceremonies, and invited parents to engage deeply with us. Those moments have been just as impactful for all.

Thankful for our Board of Directors and the steady leadership they bring to FHL. These photos only capture a fraction of the ways they’ve invested in the mission over the years—mentoring students, showing up at community events, and supporting fundraisers. Their presence truly strengthens everything we do.
