A dedicated group of volunteers from Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church spent their Saturday morning lending a hand at the Nourish Up food distribution center. We sorted canned food, pasta, cereal and more. We checked the expiration dates of the food that was in large donation bins, put it in grocery buggies and then moved the food to specific categorized food bins. That food will then be organized, boxed, and distributed to area food pantries.

Mallard Creek's Older Adult Ministry sponsored an outing this week to the N.C. mountains. The group took a side trip to the Valdesian Trail of Faith in Valdese, followed by a special luncheon before arriving at the Bonclarken Conference Center for a stay of two nights.

This year's theme combined the celebration of our American Semiquincentennial (250 years) and the 100th anniversary of Route 66.
