Well that was a fun $25 lesson todayšŸ¤Ø

My son had been under the weather most of the week, so I finally took him to the pediatrician.

Poked his stomach, tickled a laugh out of him, and by the time we hit the parking lot he was suddenly feeling amazing!

Miraculous recovery, right on schedule, the second the copay cleared.

Iā€™m convinced kids have a built in sensor for exactly when to bounce back.

Tell me Iā€™m not the only one this happens to!

Not the bathtub, not the shower, the kitchen sink! Foot propped up, sitting on the counter like this is completely normal.

Itā€™s faster, the water pressure is better, and honestly at this point in my life, I do whatever is easiest.

Iā€™ve decided, Iā€™m chopping my hair off šŸ«£ Hereā€™s my now and what Iā€™m thinking to get.

Scheduled the appointment and Iā€™m lightening it up a little too, mostly so my grays blend in better.

Hereā€™s the same cut styled three different ways because I obviously still canā€™t commit to just one look.

I got in my car this morning to take my son to school and my rearview mirror is justā€¦ hanging there.

Not attached to the windshield. Not attached to the dash. Just dangling from the wires, swinging around every time I turn.

My son looked at it, looked at me, and said ā€˜are we gonna die.ā€™ No buddy. Weā€™re just fashionable now, apparently! šŸ˜‚

Bruce is scared of everything. Even balloons.

Iā€™ve watched this dog get scared of things that arenā€™t even moving.

Heā€™s not a small dog either, heā€™s built like he could handle himself, but somehow the scariest things in his world are completely harmless.

So my son started high school on Monday and I had to pick him up sick on Tuesday.

Second day in and already getting the call from the nurse.

Not sure yet if itā€™s strep or just a virus, but this kid has never had an immune system that plays fair.

I hated pulling him out so early in the year, but a fever and feeling miserable doesnā€™t care what day it is.

Anyone elseā€™s kid start the school year off sick before it even really begins?

I started anxiety medication about six months ago and I thought that would be the hard part.

Turns out finding the right medication and the right dose is its own process, trial and error, patience, and a lot of ā€˜letā€™s try something different.ā€™

Nobody really talks about that part.

Bruce came with us to drop my son off at school this morning and decided he needed to personally greet every single kid in the car line.

Had to roll the window up before he scared someone.

The joys of carpool with a dog who thinks heā€™s the welcoming committee.
