What happens when God opens your eyes?

This Sunday’s Bible study explores one of the most powerful movements in Scripture—from blindness to vision, from overlooked to chosen, from darkness to light.

God sends Samuel to find Israel’s next king and chooses the one nobody expected: a young shepherd named David. Later, Jesus encounters a man who has been blind since birth and completely changes his life. Meanwhile, the apostle Paul challenges believers to live boldly as children of light, showing goodness, truth, and righteousness in a dark world.

These passages remind us that God sees what others miss—and when Jesus opens our eyes, we begin to see ourselves, our purpose, and our mission differently.

Join us LIVE on 3-11-2026 at 7:00 PM as we explore how God turns spiritual blindness into clarity and calling.

Come ready to engage, reflect, and grow together. https://www.facebook.com/thefieldclt/live_videos

Reminder from The Field Charlotte.

Don’t forget to spring forward tonight. Set your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed so you don’t miss worship in the morning.

We look forward to seeing you in person or online as we gather to worship together.

Sometimes life makes us wonder if we’ve missed our opportunity to change.

In Luke 13:1–9, Jesus tells a story about a tree that hasn’t produced fruit. It looks like its time is up — until the gardener steps in and asks for more time. One more season. One more chance.

Tonight’s Bible study, “God of a Second Chance,” invites us to look honestly at our lives and the grace God continues to extend to us. God’s patience is not indifference. It is mercy that gives us time to grow, change, and become what we were created to be.

Join us tonight as we explore this powerful teaching from Jesus and reflect on the ways God continues to cultivate our lives with grace.

Life shifts, plans change, and sometimes we find ourselves starting over. Starting Again: Resetting and Renewal is designed to help participants navigate transitions with faith and clarity. Through Scripture, guided reflection, and honest conversation, this session reframes starting again not as failure, but as sacred renewal. Participants will explore ways to reset their mindset and spiritual practices while trusting what God is unfolding next.

Have you ever felt spiritually dry… even while doing everything you’re “supposed” to do?

Psalm 63 was written in the wilderness — and it sounds like someone who has learned that God is not a luxury, but a necessity.

This Lenten study, Thirsting for God in Dry Places, explores what it means to desire God deeply when life feels barren, stretched, or uncertain. The wilderness is not wasted space. It is sacred ground where longing becomes clarity.

Join us tonight as we lean into spiritual hunger, realignment, and renewal. Invite a friend. Share this with someone who may be walking through their own dry season.

Let’s seek Him — together.

“Open our eyes, Lord… not just to see more, but to see right.”

This Sunday we’re stepping into a conversation bigger than budgets, careers, or hustle culture. What if provision isn’t first about money… but about alignment? What if the source determines the flow?

Join us for OPEN OUR EYES: An Economic Awakenings Workshop with Drs. Roland & Susie Hill as we explore the economy of God, where worship comes before work and clarity changes how you build, give, lead, and live.

Welcome to Mayfield

Welcome to one of the most unique faith communities in Charlotte, NC - Mayfield Memorial Missionary Baptist Church! We are a warm, family-friendly church that emphasizes Christian Education and loves excellence. One of our Outreach Ministries is that we own and operate an apartment community for seniors, The Mayfield Apartments. We have a marvelous mix of dynamic and committed young adults and seniors, professionals and business owners, and our children and youth population is constantly growing. We believe that giving God our best is a hallmark of love for God.

Our worship services are balanced, and celebrate musical and preaching traditions which minister to the head and the heart. We love all types of music. In the same service, you may hear an anthem and be lifted from your seat by a Gospel song. We have offered the community organ recitals featuring hymns, classics and contemporary music on our massive five manual pipe and electronic organ and have sponsored Grammy and Stellar award nominated Gospel artists such as Beverly Crawford, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and opera star Eric Green. Mayfield is a truly unique and wonderful church!

There is room for you here! We are waiting to welcome you. Bring your family and friends, and sink your spiritual roots deep within a community that cares.
