Please be advised that tomorrow, Oct. 26, the Divine Liturgy will not be celebrated. A reader’s Typika service (without distribution of Holy Communion) will be celebrated in the chapel at 11a.m., with the Third and Sixth Hours recited beforehand as usual.

Tomorrow is the feast of the Great Martyr Demetrius, a Greek soldier and martyr of the early 4th century AD., also known as the Myrrh-Streamer from the stream of oil which flows from his tomb in the city of Thessalonica in northern Greece.

The Sunday Troparion of the Fifth Tone: Let us the faithful acclaim and worship the Word, co-eternal with the Father and the Spirit, and born of the Virgin for our salvation. For He willed to be lifted up on the Cross in the flesh, to suffer death and to raise the dead by His glorious resurrection.

The Troparion of the Prophet Elias: The glorious Elias - angelic in body, pillar of prophets second herald of Christ - by sending grace upon Eliseus from on high, dispels disease, cleanses lepers, and overflows with healing for those who honor him.

Please join us for the celebration of the feast of All Saints. In the Byzantine Rite, this feast is kept on the Sunday after Pentecost, to signify that the work of the Holy Spirit is accomplished in the Church and in the world in the fullest sense in the lives of the Saints.

Vigil will be held this evening in the chapel as usual, beginning with the Ninth Hour at 4:50pm, and followed by the regular services, Vespers, Matins, and First Hour.

On Sunday morning, the Divine Liturgy will be offered in the hall at 11am, preceded by the Third and Sixth Hours at 10:40.

The Tropar of the feast: Adorned in the blood of Thy Martyrs throughout all the world as in purple and fine linen, Thy church through them crieth to Thee, o Christ God, Send down Thy mercies upon Thy people, grant peace to Thy commonwealth, and great mercy to our souls.

Please join us for the celebrations of the great feast of Pentecost this weekend.

Tomorrow is the last of the five great Saturdays of the Dead, so Parastas will be offered in the chapel at 4:30pm, followed by Ninth Hour at 4:50, and the usual services of the All-night Vigil (Vespers, Matins, and First Hour.)

On Sunday morning, the Divine Liturgy will be offered in the hall at 11am, preceded by the Third and Sixth Hours at 10:40. After the Divine Liturgy, we will have a break for fellowship, and then the traditional “Kneeling Vespers” of Pentecost.

The Tropar of the feast: Blessed art Thou, o Christ our God, Who hast shown forth the fishermen as all-wise by sending down upon them the Holy Spirit, and through them didst draw the world into Thy net. O Lover of mankind, glory be to Thee!

On the Sunday after the Ascension, we commemorate the Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, held in the city of Nicaea in 325, who condemned the heresy of Arius which denied the Divinity of the Son of God.

Join us this evening in the chapel for the Sunday vigil, which begins at 4:50pm with the Ninth Hour, followed by Vespers, Matins and the First Hour.

Tomorrow morning, the Typica service will be held in the chapel at 11am, preceded by the Third and Sixth Hours at 10:40.

The troparion of the Fathers: Most glorious art Thou, o Christ our God, Who established our Fathers as luminaries upon the earth, and through them hast led us all to the true faith. O most merciful One, glory be to Thee.
