Greater Charlotte Metro's independent food pantry serving with food, personal care and more.

The “Hearts and Hands Foundation, Incorporated” operates the food pantry to include both perishable and non-perishable healthy and organic food items. People who qualify for food assistance can fill their bags from our shelves, refrigerators and freezers Tuesdays and Thursdays. We also provide a section in our facility to offer personal care items for men, women, and children for people to select.

Additionally, we have a clothing closet for people to select the clothing they need as well as small quality of life items such as alarm clocks, books, pet food, etc.

Thank you to our outpost of Santa's Elves from who put together all of toy packages for our annual toy distribution tomorrow! We also want to thank Jessica for setting up the elite sorting system and Ebonee for being in the trenches with us all week to sort toys and stay organized.

And of course, a huge thank you to each and every person who donated toys along with all of the groups, businesses and organizations. We couldn't do this without you. You are making our 5th Annual Toy Drive a super success!

At Hearts & Hands Food Pantry, our gratitude runs deep. ❤️ For years, this community has shown up, stood with us, and reminded us that fighting food insecurity is truly a team effort. We can’t do this work alone and every donation, every volunteer/staff member, every shared moment with our community coming together to do this work alongside us makes a real impact.

This November reminded us just how powerful community, love, and support can be. ✨ Because of YOU, more families were fed, more hearts were lifted, and more hope was restored. We’re so thankful — and so excited to see how much more we can accomplish together moving forward.

What a blessing!. The amazing students of St. Mark Catholic Church rallied together and filled our van to the brim with food for our neighbors. Their generosity will go directly to families facing real hardship right now. We are so grateful for this partnership and the heart behind it. 💛

SNAP benefits will pause starting November 1. This is a crisis.

Food costs are already sky-high, and pantries like ours are stretched beyond capacity. If you’ve ever thought about helping, now is the time.

Here are 5 ways you can make a difference:
1️⃣ Sponsor a family with food or supplies.
2️⃣ Donate funds to your local pantry (or ours — link in bio).
3️⃣ Give food and household items — new, sealed, and unexpired.
4️⃣ Stay informed and get involved locally.
5️⃣ Care for your neighbors. Check in, share resources, and ask for help if you need it.

And adding #6 - for our corporate folks, if your company does employer matching for giving, get hooked into that. If they don't, find someone there to talk about making it happen.

It will take all of us to get through this moment. 💛

September is Hunger Action Month. ✨️🥫 Did you know that in the United States, about 13.5 percent of households (roughly 18 million households) were food insecure at some point in the last couple of years? That includes over 47 million people total!

Here in North Carolina, nearly 1 in 7 people face food insecurity, and there are hundreds of thousands of children who don’t always know where their next meal will come from. In Mecklenburg County, nearly 12 percent of households struggle with getting enough nutritious food, and about 18 percent of children live in food insecure households.

During Hunger Action Month, Hearts & Hands Food Pantry is working hard to meet this need in our community.
