With gratitude to God and great honor, we celebrate our pastor, Rev. Jordan B. Boyd, on his nomination for induction into the distinguished Bishop Alfred G. Dunston College of Preachers, Lecturers, and Scholars at Livingstone College.

This recognition, extended in consultation with denominational and institutional leaders of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, affirms Rev. Boyd’s unwavering commitment to ministry, scholarship, and the sacred preaching tradition.

Rev. Boyd’s leadership at Rockwell continues to reflect a model of servant-leadership that anchored in truth, guided by faith, and expressed through transformative teaching and community impact.

We care for the whole person here at ! What a blessing and honor to win FIRST PLACE in the 2025 Village HeartBEAT Fitness Challenge! 🏆
What does this mean? It means our FITNESS MINISTRY and workout team 🤯(you read that correctly), lost the most pounds, dropped the most points in A1C levels, lowered blood pressure and shredded the most inches, together, out of 32 faith-based organizations and 381 participants across Mecklenburg County!! The mission is to reduce chronic disease and promote healthier living.💪🏾

Congratulations to all participants! Every step toward a healthier self and community counts as a big win to us.🎉 Thank you Pride Magazine ~ Charlotte, NC for sharing the news.

Now in its 12th season, the Village HeartBEAT Program (Building Education & Accountability Together) continues to unite faith-based organizations across Mecklenburg County in the mission to reduce chronic disease and promote healthier living.

This year, 32 churches and 381 participants joined the 16-week challenge—proving that when faith and community come together, hearts get stronger.

Here’s to healthier lifestyles, stronger communities, and another incredible year of wellness and teamwork!
