It's a very bright start to my day when I get a text like this (and permission to share)! The baby, born 9.1, gets to come home from hospital on Thursday!

The mom and dad have miraculous testimonies. Yay, God!

Pray for Mama M, who gets these goodies tomorrow! I put all this together in just 6.5 days, after learning of Mama M last Friday. I normally need 2-3 months, minimally.

But alas, I get emergencies all the time.

She’s having a c-section next week.

Lori Wilson Moses met her at the busiest killing center in the southeast, way back when she was 9 weeks along. I’m so thankful for Lori and the Love Life Charlotte sidewalk teams.

This is my 10th girl’s shower in a row. 🩷 it’s funny, because for YEARS, boy showers FAR outnumbered girls.

Almost to ministry year 39.

UPDATE: Thank you for your prayers. Everything went very well, and I was happily surprised to have an opportunity to share a bit about Christ with the husband at our meeting place. He is so very warm and kind.

When I specifically showed him the Gospel materials, some of which were in his native tongue, he noticeably softened and warmed even more towards me. When he pulled one item out of the gospel gift bag, and it had what I thought was just a generic photo of mountain scene, but he exclaimed, "This is (something I didn't understand); it is in my home country (Afghanistan)." I could tell it was very meaningful to him. He softened even more.

He was so very thankful for my friendship with his wife, and for the baby items and for the small bit of financial help I was able to send them because of ministry supporters. I told him everything is from area Christians, who want to make sure their needs are met, and Christ's love is shown to them.

Little did either of us know then that their baby girl would be born about 6pm that same day! Dad got back in plenty of time.

Mama H went into natural labor and delivered baby A, without the expected C-section at 35 weeks. Baby is super tiny at only 32 weeks and weighing 2lb 10oz, but she seems to be ok. She will be in NICU for several weeks, no doubt. Mama's blood pressure is back to NORMAL ~ Praise the Most High.

Mama gets to go home today, but she goes home with empty, aching arms. Please continue to pray for her.

It's time to pray again!

I was all set to shower Mama H and her husband, and 3 (born) children this Saturday. They were planning to drive 4 hours from Savannah GA to my home.

I've enjoyed getting to know H via phone/text the last few months. The family members are Muslims. The parents are from Afghanistan and have been here for 10 years. They are citizens. The children were all born here.

This fourth baby proved to be problematic due to their economic situation, and what they believed to be their completed family. They drove to Charlotte to abort last Spring. Because of the sidewalk presence of gentle Christians with Love Life Charlotte, and the mobile sonogram unit from Monroe Help Pregnancy Center, they chose life. I've been in contact with her ever since.

I've shared the Gospel, and was really looking forward to our face-to-face time, but alas, it is not to be.

H was hospitalized a few days ago due to pre-eclampsia. She's had some trouble with this a couple of times during her pregnancy, and this time, the doctor told her she must stay in the hospital until week 35, then she will be induced. She's 30 weeks now, so this is a long and disruptive stay.

Her husband was planning to make the drive, but I have offered to meet him halfway in the Columbia SC area on Saturday.
Please pray for safe travels AND for the Gospel to pe*****te their hearts. (They are both very respectful of other religions, and do not have ANY link to Sharia Law. She does not cover up. He speaks to unrelated women.) She's been very curious and has asked great questions thus far. Pray that during her hospital time, she reads and absorbs this Truth. Pray that God gives them both dreams, as He often does to Muslims!

I purchased, and am almost finished reading, Nabeel's book (pictured). I will give it to them, but I wanted to read it myself, first. I also purchased a Bible and other Gospel materials in their native language, although they both speak/read English quite well.

God obviously knew this diversion would happen. I know He has a plan, but I am disappointed -- and simultaneously relieved. I was a bit nervous about the Gospel presentation. I've shared with several Muslims, but it's never easy or comfortable. Pray that we can continue the discussion via phone/text, as we've been doing.

Please pray that this generous kindness is received as an expression of Christ's lavish love and care for them. My desire is always to represent Him well.

And thank you supporters, for making it happen, time and time and time again.

I don't often get permission to post ministry photos on social media, so this is a joyful opportunity.

Rejoice! Image-bearer, baby girl C, has been safely born. She is loved and adored by her parents, siblings, and extended family. Her parents have turned back to Christ, after stretches of rebellion. Their submitted hearts and lives are truly beautiful. Rejoice in the (spiritual and physical) saving work of The Most High. It has been my honor and privilege to know them and serve them. They are one of my ministry faves.

I'm very thankful for the local sidewalk ministry of Love Life Charlotte, Monroe HELP Mobile sonogram unit, and our coordinated work.

Thank you for your ministry support. You are making a difference.

UPDATE: Thank you for your prayers. The shower went very well. She was truly blessed. Her 3 children and her sister came. Even her teen son was interested in the Gospel and listened intently. (He spent most of the time on his phone, and helping with his toddler brother, but he was truly interested in the Gospel.) Additionally, it was no small miracle successfully packing her vehicle with all the gifts.

Please join me in prayer for Mama N who is driving tomorrow to my home in Charlotte NC from Georgia for her shower. She’s returning to the city where her unborn daughter was scheduled to die a few months ago. She wrestled with her God-given conscience the whole drive, and when she saw and met the Love Life sidewalk team, and heard their proclamations of truth and offers of help, she chose life. Thank God for their faithful presence and witness!

She’s coming with a big crew, including her boyfriend, sister, and 3 children and maybe more. Please pray - most critically - for the gospel presentation. It’s the most important part.

I’ve got lots of clothes, toys, books, and diapers for her 1-year old son, too.

I have another shower in 2 weeks for a Muslim mom/family, also from GA, expecting a girl. Keep praying!

It’s been a season of baby GIRL showers. 8 straight.

What a joyful start to my day! I received this photo from a mom who saved her son several years ago. We've kept in touch, and mama and children are doing well. Today is his first day of school. Rejoice!

I can't show his face, but trust me, he is grinning ear-to-ear.

UPDATE: The shower went so well, thank you for your prayers! This couple is so precious, so appreciative, and so hungry for God. It was a joy to provide for their practical needs, and to sow into their spiritual lives. They are making great progress in their relationship with each other, and their hearts are tender towards the Lord. I believe they are genuine Christians - and I am not easily convinced, trust me! Mama B gave me permission to show her photo on FB. A VERY rare thing.

They have a BIG couple's retreat coming up next week. It's a wonderful, FREE opportunity God has miraculously provided via Samaritan's Purse. Major travel is involved. Please be in prayer for them. God is most definitely at work.

Mama B's shower will be this Saturday in Great Falls SC, a 1.5 hour drive south. She has been a DEAR to work with and to get to know via phone and text. I'm eager to meet her and her HUSBAND in person.

The tremendous Love Life Charlotte team and HOPE Pregnancy Resource Center mobile ultrasound unit met her on the sidewalk of the southeast's busiest killing center back in January, and God has been intervening and working in their lives since.

Please be in prayer for them as I share the Gospel - again - Saturday. Baby girl is due in early September.

I'm very thankful for the opportunity to shower this mama today. She is very special to me, and she's facing her challenges with bravery and determination. May God show Himself strong to her, and her baby girl, in the coming days and years.
