FRIDAY APRIL 7, 2023, AT 5PM- THE SEVENTH EPISCOPAL DISTRICT BOARD OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AND FORMATION presents its ANNUAL VIRTUAL GOOD FRIDAY program. This year, the children and youth will focus on "Emotions Found at the Cross". Please log in to support our children and youth. Log-in information will be provided.
FRIDAY, APRIL 7, 2023-7 PM- The congregation is invited to worship with the MOUNT VERNON MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH for their GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE. Pastor Jones will deliver the message. The church is located at 2901 Oneida Road, Charlotte North Carolina 28269.

10:15 am- Easter Program
11:00 am- Morning Worship Service
NEXT SUNDAY, APRIL 9, 2023- VILLAGE HEART BEAT team members will meet immediately following the morning worship service in the Fellowship Hall to discuss the Season 10 Program. All members are asked to please be in attendance.

SATURDAY, APRIL 15, 2023- 9:00 AM- As a part of the Women's Day Activities, THE WOMEN'S AUXILIARY is preparing a Women's Gathering at the Golden Corral on North Tryon Street. Each person is responsible for the cost of their own meal. Please register with Veronica Sturdivant so that a count can be submitted to the restaurant.
SUNDAY, APRIL 16, 2023- THE WOMEN'S AUXILIARY will sponsor Women's Day. The theme is: SISTERS UNITING IN TRUTH (SUIT). Women are to wear black suits or black dresses with white pearls and chucks. If you don't have chucks, you can wear any tennis shoe regardless of color. Please sit in the center aisle.
SATURDAY, APRIL 22, 2023- 9 AM UNTIL 12:40 PM- NOVANT HEALTH in partnership with Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW Post 7775) and Parkwood Institutional CME Church is offering free health screening exams including blood pressure, A1C, and biometrics for individuals 18 years or older to help stay well. Please fill out the red asterisk information and do not include your social security number nor insurance information as this is a free service. Flyers are located in the Narthex for scheduling and appointment which must be completed by April 12th.
SATURDAY, APRIL 22, 2023- 12 NOON UNTIL 4:00 PM- EASTWAY REGIONAL RECREATION CENTER will celebrate their 2nd Anniversary. The entire community is invited to join the for earth day activities, bouncy house, food trucks, music, prizes, family fun and more. The center is located at 3150 Eastway Drive. All are welcome to come.
THE CONGRESSIOAL BLACK CAUCUS FOUNDATION (CBCF) along with CBC Spouses is offering an assortment of scholarships to support current and upcoming qualified African-American or Black college students across a variety of disciplines from education to performing arts. Flyers are located in the Narthex for information on applying. Most deadlines are April 28, 2023.
