Faith Memorial Baptist Church was founded in 1970 under the leadership of Rev. Brewer where the old church grounds were at 2919 West Trade Street. In 1973, the property for 211 Lakewood Avenue was purchased and worship has continued here ever since for over 40 years with Rev. presiding for the majority of this time. Our beloved leaders today are Dr. Dennis Williams (pastor), Dr. LaWanda Williams (

first lady), a staff of associate ministers, deacons, deaconesses, and trustees. What started as a little church with a BIG heart has grown to a campus of resources promoting God's love, excellence and encouragement aimed at advancing God's Kingdom, one life at a time.
