Good morning from Shelby, NC Shelby BBQ Extravaganza day 2. Good luck to all those competing on day #2.

Congratulations to all the teams who heard their name called on day 1. Congratulations to Rooters and Tooters on their GC and Smoke Show Mafia on their RGC. We placed 5th in pork and 11th in brisket with 18th overall in a stacked field. We will not speak of chicken and ribs 🫣.

The Pigmaster's Challenge was a great event! Thanks to Jessica Bargsley and her entire crew for a smoothly run event. We finished 3rd Friday night in The Kansas City Barbeque Society Turkey Smoke competition. Shanna landed a very solid 2nd place in the dessert competition with her white chocolate cheesecake topped with caramel sauce and honey glazed pecans cooked Sous Vide in 1/2 pint Mason jars.
For the main competition, we received a 4th in brisket and 2nd in pork with a 7th overall finish. Congratulations to Smokin Skullies BBQ on RGC and a gigantic shout to JL Smokers BBQ Team on getting their first Grand Champion! Congratulations to our neighbors Holt Brothers BBQ on a solid cook and your calls. To everyone that heard their names called, Nice Work and Congratulations!
